Does that make it right? It's still a bad move. Using cool words like 'infiltration' is a bit disingenious. It's not 'infiltration'. It's taking advantage of sloppy coding to do something the PG owners have explicity stated is out of bounds.

I'm not interested in moral judgement of video games as I consider the notion nonsensical.

Right or wrong what it makes them is foolish as I said. Reckless drivers are both wrong and rare (relative to the number of times I cross the street) - yet I still look both ways before I cross the street.

Also it's not "sloppy coding". Any example of sloppy coding was the latest patch with its myriad of bugs.

PGs are by design exactly the same as the other modes, except with a different pool of players who may instance with you than other modes (and other PGs). By contrast open has the pool of all-players-in-open-mode and solo has the pool of only-you. Aside from the sloppiness of instancing in general, this code is working fine.

If FDev had claimed they implemented combat controls for PG owners but these didn't work, that would be sloppy coding.

Not sure how that would be made impossible. All I would have to do is pull the plug on my console, or turn off the wifi, then I am out of the game. For FDev to ban somebody for CL, FDev would have to prove it was an intentional CL and not a loss of power or wifi at an inconvenient time.

Its called statistics. If you pre-dominantly have an inconvenient wifi outage when you are 1) in combat, and 2) losing, it is time for the good ol' shadow realm.

And I can't understand the mentality of someone who would whine about an illegally-killed ship being restored in a group where PvP is forbidden. Cheating should be reversed. If it is, then suck it up.

It's not forbidden. It's allowed in-game.

Just cause people think their groups are special, doesn't make it true. Even if FDev caves and restores insurance.

I think we're looking for a little more of "what is good for the goose is good for the gander" in our understanding.

For example, you're familiar with this common refrain: If you don't like the rules of Open Play then don't enter Open Play.

So in the case of a private group (Failcomm), it would be nice if people who use the aforementioned refrain would heed this one: If you don't like the rules of the private group then don't join it.

I think most people can appreciate it is a little self serving and hypocritical to espouse one, but not the other.
Hiding behind the "coding permits it" excuse is like hiding behind your mothers thread bare apron.
It is more pathetic than anything.

Ganking is not bullying.

It is a word commonly used in online video games, usualy used in an MMORPG. Ganking is the process in which a group of charecters gang up on one or more players that do not have a chance to defend themselves, Or when one high level player does the same action to a player way below his or her own level

I don't know about your knowledge about bullying, but i see the image of group of kids kicking or punching the weaker one kid is very similar to this definition. Im sure the ganked players feel like sh*t, similiar to bullied people.
