Gate Question

Can dinos escape through a gate that's been opened by a ranger jeep? I've seen people creating double gated systems but I wasn't sure if that was for show or if they can actually escape when the door is opened for a jeep.

I haven't had any Dinos escape through them yet, I sound the horn on the jeep as i go through the gate to scare away any of them lingering nearby anyways.

I usually find the dino's pull up when the jeep has left the pen and the gate starts to shut, not sure if it's that way or I've just had good luck lol.

I left my gate open for a while and was wondering why guests kept running away. Then I saw I left the gate open. No Dinosaurs ran out.

As an update to this, I did a little trial and error on this.

If you intentionally leave the gate open, and the dinosaurs are roaming generally without any bars in the red, they will not run out of the gate but look at it. I have yet to see a stable dino run out of the gate.

If the dinosaur is panicking, there's an extremely high chance of it escaping through the gate.

If the gate is left open for the meat-loving dinosaurs, there's a decent chance they will run out just because FREEDOM! Seen this twice with Velo's and Dilo's.

I have a save file where I built some fencing around the Hammond creation lab with a gate on it. I left it open and the Dinosaurs would just wonder through it like it was nothing. So I suspect that they will do the same with any gate no matter where it is. Just leave it open long enough.

I built all my entrances as double gates. That way the inner gate closes before the outer gate starts to open and vice versa.
I had the T-rex following me through the inner gate, once. But stopped on the doorstep and I hushed her back in.

a double gate bay would actually be a nice addition to the game, one that you can build into the enclosure. It could be maybe double the size of the ranger vehicle, a completely enclosed steel box and make it work so that one gate will not open until the other is fully closed

You see this in modern zoos for most walk around areas
