Gene Modding

Hi guys,

If seen a lot of early game play from different youtubers and had some questions related to gene-modding.

So what does the Resilience stat effect? Most of the stats of the dinosaurs are really straightforward, like the attack and defence but I don't really know what to expect of the Resilience stat.

I thought I heard someone say that it was something like the smartness of the dinosaurs, and I hope it really is because I would love to see that you can improve the smartness of the dinosaurs(Like what they did with the Indominus Rex. Velociraptor DNA). Like I said, I would love to make my Triceratops, Velociraptor smart :D.

So I hope someone can give me an answer and really wanna know your opinions about being able to improve the dinosaur AI by gene-modding.

Not sure but perhaps resilience is about ability to fight diseases?

I agree with you that there should be gene splicing to increase intelligence level! Certain AI algorithms can only be unlocked accordingly - coordinated group herding into a killing zone for Raptors, uniform change of direction in herd evasive, strategic/anticipated ambushes for large carnivores, etc...

Maybe that is categorized into the Prestige tab?

What I'd like to know is: Can we splice our dinosaurs' genomes to give them the ability to camouflage themselves? If Carnotaurus is in the game, I would love to give it the ability to camouflage itself, like the Carnotaurus in the novel version of The Lost World.

What we did learn from a interview in the German PC Gamer with the devs is that every dinosaur will have it's own AI.

Yes. I read that too - a translated version. Interesting indeed...It says I-Rex is of no joke and Raptors are extremely intelligent, particularly attentive, and constantly searching for outbreaks. Would love to learn more about the details though.

Really wish their AI has depth as they claim so - I would like to see them not only being displayed visually (socializing animation etc.) but has actual attributes to the gameplay, making it a challenge to management. For instances:-

- A 'smart' escaped dinosaur is much more difficult to be tranquilized
- A smart raptor knows which part of the fence is more (weather) vulnerable, which area is usually crowded with guests.
- Socialized herbivores work better as a team and so do the carnivores.

Would be good also, as mentioned, if the effectiveness can be modified through splicing.

Disease resistance, recovery time from been injured... that sort of thing. Maybe less likely to get stressed in wrong environments too.

Yeah I love that all the dinosaurs have that their own AI, But woudn't it be awesome if you can make Triceratops fight coordinated against a T-Rex

Yeah...multiple large Theropods VS a large Sauropod. Raptors VS a large Herbivore. Cross-species mix and match fighting as in JW are things I hope to see too!!! Maybe too far-fetched though :x

Anyone knows what does the Prestige stats means?

Defenitely would love to see uneven fights.

Prestige i believe is how wanted the dinosaur is by the visitors + if it wins a fight it's prestige goes up if I remember correctly.

The prestige is basically how popular it is. How much people are willing to visit the park to see the dinosaur.

I think I heard one of the Devs say it's affecting the "hitpoints" of Dinosaurus. So basically how much Life they have compared to others in a fight. It was in one of the Gameplay videos.

They weren't going into details with the Ai, it was just stated that each Dinosaur has their own Ai and the Raptors are very clever compared to otherr Dinos.
