This is a fantastic game, I just needed to air some of my suggestions and frustrations in a place where (I hope) Frontier will see it.
1. Income tax is unrealistic
I have a 5-star park on Canada map challenge mode. It's on easy. But I'm making just under $100k per minute in profit (without accounting for any additional expenses such as research, hatching, healing, building, repairing, etc) and this is the breakdown:
Income per minute - $1,001,071
Upkeep per minute - $903,937 - being made up of:
$149,844 for power
$144,936 for amenities
$284,300 for scientist wages AND
$334,857 for INCOME TAX
Profit of $97,134 per minute
I don't know if any of the Frontier staff working on this game know how tax works, but tax is levied on PROFIT, not income. My actual profit is $431,991 per minute, so I would be happy paying around $100k in tax, you know, a fairly usual 30% of my profit. As it stands, Frontier seem to think I should be taxed at a 77.5% rate.
There is no reason tax should be in this game other than realism. If realism is the goal, MAKE IT REALISTIC!! Edit: even a cursory Google search tells me that the general company tax rate in Canada is 15%...
2. Air lift release
It would be good if we could batch air lift and release in other enclosures because having 5 choppers swarm and hover over the hatchery, taking one dino at a time is not a good look. I think the choppers should lift a container from the hatchery, carry it to the enclosure, lower it, when it opens, play the batch release animation for hatchery and then the chopper takes the container away. Or have the container build on the side of the hatchery when you choose airlift. We know they used these kinds of containers to transport dinos to their enclosures because that was the first scene from JP movie.
3. Sabotage is ridiculous
On the same Canada map, due to having no money, I got the random cash injection event - get $5mil, but decrease publicity by 25%. I accepted it because I was skint. Literally 2 seconds later, a staff member "sabotaged" my park by stealing $2.5mil!! That's just a kick in the teeth. Why can't I pay my lawyer fees and sue that to get my money back! It just seems that Frontier have imbalanced the financials here and it needs some TLC.
These are the ones that have been really bothering me. Will add any others that come to mind.
