My IP address does not change but keep getting too many errors. Cannot play for more than 5 minutes at a time.

Found out what was happening. Believe it or not there was a local denial of service attack on my public IP. Rebooted my router to get a new IP and everything back up and running again.

Most likely it is something on your side.
Game itself is relaxed about IP, I can turn on/off VPN while I play (which changes even country) and game still handles with no issue.

Don't know what is going wrong for you but today was the first time I got a CTOD and crash report for months and I had a Mauve? Adder a couple of days ago. my usual daily session is over an hour long.

A year or two seems an excessive period between tests.

After the recent connection problems were fixed some months ago, I'm getting maybe one disconnection per couple of months. Per month at most. I think that mostly when playing in open.

In other words, can't replicate the problem on my end.

Decided not to post comments on youtube with a traceable IP again as I exposed a fake news site with a CoPilot AI research report and someone was not very happy about that. Spy in Google must have delved into the server logs to track my temporary Public IP. As I used to run my own ISP in London docklands back in the day I had prior experience with this.

Will use an anonymous youtube account to do my anti-fake news stuff from now on. Will set up a temporary mail-server and ISP on the cloud which I can tear down every month and create a new one.

Going to create my own LLM to combat these fake news sites. Going to automate the tear-down and recreate and then train the AI to search for patters of fake youtube channels and publish a report on them.

Then I'm going to sit back and sip my whiskey while my AI goes to war against the fake AI news generators. Cheers

Anyway, is it okay to play via VPN? No bans for teleporting to another country and back?

Yes, I use VPN for other tasks, and I had to attend to while playing Elite, turned it ON and nothing bad happened. Other time I forgot to turn it off before running the game, turned off and nothing bad again.
