Well I had a recent hiccup with my X52 pro, nothing major though. Won't repeat it here, just pointing to the thread I started where I described the issue: https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php?t=135111
OK - wish I hadn't made this post now as I have had hell loads of issues recently.
The B button only responds sometimes and I have an intermittent fault on the thruster buttons that regularly fail to respond when I am at max or min thrust.
Have mailed Saitek - we'll see what happens.
Warthog is no good as an alternative in my view because of the missing Z axis
All of my X52 woes ended just by keeping the control panel open on my desktop. Not had one problem since then and all my buttons/trigger/switches work all the time. It's just part of my "setting up for an ED session" routine.
Please help! My Saitek x52 isnt showing up in the control panel... if been searching but I just cant find how to fix that!
Stick is being returned to Saitek today.
I have been looking around for a viable alternative as a spare but they all have big problems as far as I can see ...
X52 - known problems mainly with build quality causing faults
X55 - Same as X52 only worse according to reports
Warthog - no Z axis
Thrustmaster T-Flight - Not enough controls
Black Widow - See T-Flight
Are there any others ?
Nice. Well done for that. The X52 is a good bit of kit.
Mine bloody isn't. It's a disaster of epic proportions.
The software is quite powerful though; if only it would actually run on my machine I'd bea bly to put up with the unstable deadzones, creaky wobble plastic parts and frequent disconnects. If only.
