The reason Yamik doesn't get a key is because he is a professional dingleberry, and if he were an adult he grew a pair and simply accept the consequences of his own choices. I am not sure how limited one's social experiences must be to not understand that if you spend literal years namecalling people they don't want to work with you much. But sure, now they spelled it out for him. Hope he is satisfied but somehow I doubt it.

Steam can give you up to 1000 pre release keys. Really, there arent 1000 content creators for elite dangerous. And yamicks cant have one? Also, your reply assumes frontier would also be turning off the standalone client and cant just enable the launcher option from their own systems.

It's not suggested that the limit to the number of possible keys is determined by Frontier, but there's no way they're going to approach that limit without having more than enough for any content creator of note. So they determine how many they want to distribute, and could easily extend that to be more inclusive, if they chose to. Again, not saying they should go crazy, but Yamiks does fit the bill.
Dunno if 1/5 active ED player watch Yamiks on a regular basis. Maybe, but doubt it. And just because I watch a train-wreck doesn't mean I support the idea of train-wrecks. He's funny to watch, yep. Doesn't mean I'm gunna send him money, or vote for him if he runs for public office. I would definitely watch if he entered UFC, awesome fun to watch! Doesn't make him my hero.
Can I ask a practical question at this point? Do you think we persuaded FD to give Yammiks a key? Asking for a friend.
