Been running into a few of those, but more likely the ones I have seen not fully tagged are systems with all the GG's tagged but nothing else, oh well at least it gets my name on the system. I have also encounterd CMDR Star Falcoln a lot, and another one starting with V, Vogolis of something similar, they were very active in my region but before the FSS came out, I wonder if they are still around.
as does that annoying Jackie Silver person.
Yeah I've bumped into him a bit, there are also quite a few that appear on a couple of systems but then you don't see again.
Her. grins I was quite late to the party with EDSM and EDDiscovery, I wish I had started sooner because I lost all my early logs and now have only vague nostalgic memories of where I was way back when.
I have seen a lot of Vogolos and Star Falcon out this way - I heard that Star Falcon was based somewhere in Eastern Europe and hasn't played for a long while, but that's third hand at best. They certainly seem to have made a bee-line for a lot of nebulae as well as catalogue stars, I've run into their spoor everywhere.![]()
So let me ask this question...they were very active in my region but before the FSS came out
Oh her, fair enough. I also lost some early logs, however that was because there was some sort of memory issue with early EDDiscovery and it caused issue with my old laptop so I had to run without it. yes Vogolos is very popular out here.
Honking didn't get you the star. You had to scan it.and I feel like honking put your name on the primary star? Right? So how is it that a star would be undiscovered but a planetary body isn't? Or am I misremembering and honking didn't get you the star?
Ah... well that was easy.Honking didn't get you the star. You had to scan it.
So let me ask this question...
I ran across a few systems where only a planet was discovered. Usually it was a HMCW that looked like an ELW. I remember in the pre-FSS days that a lot of times I would fly out to scan what I thought was an ELW only to have it be a HMCW. But as I remember it, you had to honk to check the system map....and I feel like honking put your name on the primary star? Right? So how is it that a star would be undiscovered but a planetary body isn't? Or am I misremembering and honking didn't get you the star?
You take your heresy and skedaddle.Prior to the FSS (spit)

Star Falcon definitely was one of the earlier explorers to hit a lot of RL star clusters, nebulae, catalog stars, etc. He/she has been back sometime since Chapter 4 at least, since one of my HIPs had mapped by tags from Star Falcon. I don't know if they've remained active since then, or just came back briefly, or what. I just thought it was interesting to see mapping tags, instead of just discovery tags.
Of course you did visit them all, didn`t you?Well that was interesting, just dropped into a HIP, just the main star tagged but nothing else tagged or mapped, 45 bodies in all and just 862ly from Sol. What's remarkable is this little pair of binary moons, between the two of them they have 121 surface sites, with one having the most surface sites I have ever seen on one body, 69.
