Going on the wagon

Hi I am Ziggy

.....

I haven't explored in 20 hours.

.....

Thanks! I am planning to not explore for at least a week more.

......!

Yeah ... I know. I'm going trading.

.....!!!???

Leave some planets for me when I come back allright?

Cheers,

Ziggy

I am doing the same, and getting the urge already. Do we get a badge after a week ?

Not sure I could handle trading though. I am unlocking some irritating Permits in my nice new brick (Python)

Heh, I'm still enroute back from SagA (and recently realized I accidentally started backtracking towards it... oops). But once 1.3 is out I suspect I'll be out of exploring for a while ;)

But I'll be back. I'll always be back ;)

Howdy, I was going to stick around til 1.3 came out and pick up a new ship maybe, but the draw of the void was to strong! Core bound again! :)

+rep for those who can fight the urge and win. ")

I've been back for 3 days now, and I'm already getting antsy.

Why is it I get bored RES hunting / trading after an hour or two, but I can fly around the sky looking at shinies for days on end? :S

good luck just found a ELW with 6 terraformables around the same sun...... SHINEY SHINEY SHINEY!
pic later still running for Sgr A

I have timed my latest adventure so that hopefully I will be returning shortly before the release of 1.3.
I am excited to see the stats on the new ships, maybe there will be a decent explorer between them.

I am however fully expecting abject disappointment, in which case I will just buy some refueling drones and head back out to the great beyond.

Trading doesn't have to be a back and forth grind if you run the rares routes.
Yeah, I did do that for a couple of days. But the commodity market has always confused me. I'm looking to make at least some sense of it and find a very lucrative traderoute.

So far, I'm more confused than when I started. :)

Well I guess it depends whether you want to do it the hard way and find it yourself or use one of the many trading tools/get a tip.

My route is a simple back and forth that I go back to whenever I want some quick cash - 14.7 ly apart - Palladium one way - mineral extractors the other. About 2040 creds/ton round trip.

It's not the best but it's good enough (pm me if you want the route).

If you prefer to do it the hard way just look for high supply and then check in the right hand column where it gets exported to - then sell there and see if they have something you can take back the other way.

There's a handy graphic around somewhere that shows what goods go to/from what type of economy, will see if I can dig it out.

ETA - this isn't the one I was thinking of but there's a handy PDF in the OP here

I think I'll want a break from exploring when I get back from my current trip. I reckon I'll just play something else for a week or two though.

I lasted 2 weeks in inhabited space last time I took a break.... first week was rough, then I got tied up in a community goal and had to wait a few days before I could head out again.....

By the time I was able to climb back into my explorer and head out into the black, I was excited enough to emit xrays, and went off like an inmate on death row who's just been granted his first conjugal visit in 20 years...

Best of luck with your Explorers Detox Alad, I hope it goes well back there in the egg.... For me, it remains a place to avoid until circumstance demands I return to the busy, claustrophobic hell that is human space. For me, 1 hydrogen atom per cubic meter and the odd handful of muons, neutrino's and the like are all the company I could ever need :)

When is 1.3 releasing? I don't plan to come back any time soon. Will i be swarmed by thargoids? Will stars explode? Should i come back? (giving power to shields again, and collecting stones to throw them outside the window)
