Newcomer / Intro Got disconnected during/after interdiction from another user - is it possible it was deliberate?

What about the free fleet carrier you can claim for doing that Galactic Circumnavigation Challenge thing?

I jumped into Alpha Centauri and got interdicted by another player. I was trying to avoid it, got "interdiction successful" sound and "damage" message... and got disconnected. Is it possible it was some hacker who somehow got my IP and DoS-ed it to force my disconnection? BTW: what happens if one is disconnected in the middle of PvP? Granted, when I reconnected I was relatively OK and managed to escape after few hits to another system with 13% of hull integrity remaining.

90+ minutes? If you disable the assist to the last minute and go full-blast on manual you should whittle it down. No more then an hour. I think the first time it took me a little below 50min. Gruelingly long, yes, but I was making plum jam at the same time so...

A lot of PvP happens at Alpha Centauri due to the free anaconda at Hutton Orbital. A lot of new players get ganked there before they get a chance to reach the station to claim the ship.

I doubt the other player managed to somehow disconnect you though. Just log back in and try again, or go there in solo mode.
And just in case you don't know, the free Anaconda isn't in the normal part of the station, which is why a lot of people think that it's a prank and never found it. They only go in the station, like normal, so they don't find it. If you fly around the station, you'll see a big slot towards the bottom of one side with writing above and below it that says, "No entry! "Authorised craft only". It's in there. There's no problem going in.

PvP players hate it when their target exits the game, to the point that doing so via alt+F4 is cheating. No attacker would want to disconnect you. :)

Yes, now I know. I thought the ship just stays around (like in some other games - i.e. in Eve Online if disconnection is detected during fight the ship will try to warp out to safety but it will also not fight back and the warp-out will usually be impossible during the fight, at least in the beginning, and the warp-out is just something a user could try to do, nothing more "powerful").
