Have you tried IrfanView? Just tested it with a 420MB TIFF & it took a while but the conversion to PNG was successful, resulting in 204MB file with default settings.
On my way to sag a, just logged on to this.....
Not sure what I like about this image most...the nebula or the awesome crack on the planet!

Thanks Frawd. This game is just so pretty. I'm always taking screenshots and changing them up as my laptop's background. Shame I don't have higher res, but I still love the images, especially when they begin to make sense. You know: Heat vents, neutron stars, asteroids etc. this is quickly becoming one of my favourite threads.
Edit: I haven't flown the Clipper yet but the courier has been a nice substitute for the Vulture in terms of roles and capabilities.

My Desktops folder is growing steadily.
Had enough of this universe, I'm going to see if there's a better one on the other side of here (it'd better not just be the back of a book case though)

Totally gratuitous this lot...
I hope this works out... not seen any wide screen images of the Anaconda and I've made these as big as possible (65Mb original files so be warned... on slower connections it'll take a bit to see them. Let me know if they zoom well)
and then a look back at one of the scariest system entries for a while...

I found a gaggle of black holes on my way down from the roof of the galaxy.. some were tagged by some sith lord, some were untagged. I stopped by one with 5 sun masses to take this selfie:

Love this world...a definite candidate to land on (and maybe get burned by the lava)
Not sure why the pics below have done this...the last hard to see pic has "claw marks"...perpendicular cracks that are red/brown in colour...
(nothing I do fixes the problem...thanks for the advice OfftheRails)

You've uploaded them, but not actually put them in the post so they're there as attachments rather than images. Edit the post, click on Go Advanced and look down for Manage Attachments...
Click "Insert Inline" to get the images into the actual post.
