Very cool
I went on a short expedition a while back to get the feel for exploration. Took my Asp from Alliance space to just past the Coal Sack, then looped back round to the Imperial-Federal border and back to the Alliance. It was pretty cool, even though I wasn't out there all that long.
I earned around 2.5 million from that jaunt, which was pretty nice, plus I got my name stamped on a few worlds and stars (no Earth-likes or water worlds).
I haven't headed out since then, as I'm primarily a bounty hunter, but I do have plans for a much larger mission
