Gratuitous Selfie Thread

I don't get around much, so this may not be new to anyone except me. I've never seen a station that looks like this.

System name - ADITI: has a Class A star and out at the edge is Peylow, which is a terraformed human world. Two stations are out here, PEW 1901 orbits Peylow and SMJL Central orbits the moon which is named MORROW PEEK.

Here is what the inside of PEW 1901 looks like:
Govt type = Patronage
Alignment = Empire

Besides the fact that it's totally different from anything I've seen before, there are palm trees growing in the docking bay.

Still new to the game so I've yet to come across a station like this, but it's stunning! It's amazing design like this that makes me very excited for future updates where perhaps we shall be allowed to disembark and walk around a space station. Even if it's just in the immediate area in the docking bay surrounding our ship it would be amazing. I want to go there :)

Some gratuitous selfies from the ongoing voyages of the LCU Beats Working*

Couple of nice ringed systems

Binary earth-like worlds, my first black hole and a nice juxtaposition of the Beats Working and a pair of Tauri stars.

Earth-like world at the top of the galaxy. Must be a hell of a view on clear nights!

Currently ~750ly from the 'base' of the galaxy. Will post more if I find anything interesting.

HIP 10962 a large ringed system, even the larger ice planets have rings. A ringed water world around the primary star. The other star is 550,000LS away, but the draw to see it was irresistible. Alas, I was not the first explorer here, but it's a very nice system to visit. Never really noticed the comment "pristine reserves" before, probably overlooked it, but I imagine it factors in to the discovery value. Wondering how a water world can have a surface temperature of 475 Kelvin, that's 201.85 Celsius/395.33 Fahrenheit!

Bought an Asp yesterday, having finally saved up enough credits to not only buy her but set her up for a long expedition. This is my second expedition, the first one just being a short 600 ly affair in my Cobra, to get the feel for exploration. This one will take a lot longer. So far I made it some 2.6k ly away from civilization, the highlights of the trip so far include finding life on two gas giants, one of them water based, the other ammonia. After a whole bunch of metal, rocky and ice worlds, I found my first water world!

As it's getting late and I need to get some sleep, I've decided to park in this system and pick it up tomorrow. Quite happy with this find so far, description says it's got carbon based marine life. It's also tidally locked, wonder what kind of an effect that would have on the local fauna..

Nice image, look at those mountains. Hopefully one day, we will be able to land on the ice, set up camp for the night and maybe restock some supplies or collect flora/fauna samples as additional UC data. Missions could be generated to - deliver supplies to scientific outposts on the surface, deliver or pick up scientists, all sorts of things.

Yea, planetary landings should bring a whole new dimension to exploration. It'd be pretty cool to be able to go down, collect samples for extra profit, maybe spend the night on a planet, move on. I also like the idea of setting up scientific outposts on the surface as well.

This is my first giant orange star!

I find it odd that ED records images in .bmp format but requires them to be in .jpeg or .img format....
