The 3D visualization of our search area has been updated on the website. We've searched so many grids that I had to modify the color scheme. (This isn't an ideal visualization for a 3D grid like this, but you get the idea.)

Search Progress by Grids
This sorts all the search grids by the number of systems they contain. It gives a sense of how many work units we've completed or have remaining. This also indicates how many grids have been searched since the last time I updated this chart (yellow).

Search Progress by Systems
This is the same as the grid chart, except that it is counting total systems instead of grids. It gives a sense of total work progress, regardless of how many systems are in a grid.

Search Progress by 50-ly Shells
This measures progress for systems within 0 to 50 ly, 50 to 100 ly, etc. We have prioritized the 150 to 200 ly range since the beginning of the survey, and we're getting close to finishing it!

It is very interesting to see the percentages by 50LY shells - you're really close to narrowing it down a great deal! Are you going to do the smallest shell next to rule out the really close options?
I wish you the very best of luck, this is an invaluable endeavour for finding not only Raxxla but other mysteries, such as Generation Ships - I still wonder if any are lurking within 200LY, abandoned around some world no one ever knew to forget....

It's undecided. The rationale behind prioritizing 150-200 ly is that something on the edge of populated space is easier to hide or miss. Populated systems take a bit longer to scan, so I'm leaning towards the 100-150 ly range next. Though, as you can see from the map, anyone can scan grids in any order they like.
