I expect that the survey is going to complete in the next few weeks, so it might be time to set expectations for what happens then.
I plan to spend some time (along with Slegnor and Eahlstan, who have been invaluable partners on this project) collating the thousands of reports we've had into some kind of summary document. It will probably be short - a description of what we did, and how, and how many moons and megaships and tourist beacons were recorded. The spreadsheet will remain as a resource for future efforts. I am inclined to leave the Discord in operation for those that want to communicate there. I think one of our biggest contributions is the method we developed for surveying uncharted space (which was thankfully superceded for the bubble, but applies elsewhere). I would also like to call out the notable contributions by individual commanders - Eahlstan alone covered something like 10% of the survey - but overall we've had 300+ CMDRs contribute, and every report brought us closer to completion. The beautiful thing about this sort of endeavor is that it is cumulative, and whether you added one grid or dozens, it all counted.
A lot of people looked at our premise and thought we were wasting our time, and that's fair - they drew different conclusions and spent their time differently. You do this for fun, after all. But a whole lot of people pitched in and let us make a statement, a definitive statement, about whether Raxxla is inside these bounds and parameters. That is, I think, a unique event in the search for this burning jewel - so far. Whatever the future holds, I remain astonished that this idea I had in the throes of space madness, halfway to Beagle, has actually been realized. You are all the best part of this galaxy.
To the journey, CMDRs.
