Griefers make open impossible, and how easy the solution is.

That problem exists solely in your head. I've been flying exclusively in Open for thousands upon thousands of hours in Open and mostly in small ships; its a non-issue. Go have fun, or not. Just stop trying to change the game to deal with your irrational anxiety.
Sorry but that is an outright lie and you know it. it is not a problem that exists only in people's heads. If it was then there wouldn't be nearly as many people who constantly complain about gankers in the game. It wouldn't even be a topic of discussion and yet we have several threads about it that are several thousand posts long. And all of them complain about the same exact thing.

And just to prove a point after being told earlier this week that ganking wasn't really a problem I went in to open while I was doing missions to unlock Marco Qwent. And guess what happened while I was running missions for the Sirius corporation? Yeah you guessed it. I was ganked by a FDL.

So you'll pardon me if I call bullcrap on the idea that ganking isn't a problem.

I don't think you guys are understanding how it works. In Warcraft when you have it toggled you cannot interact with other people. Which means there is no God mode as you put it. For example if I had it toggled to off I would not be able to shoot at you, do damage to you, or anything. NPCs would still be able to attack me and destroy me, but players would not.

And it solves the problem with open that a lot of solo players have with griefing and trolling. And it also solve the problem that a lot of open players have with there not being enough players to interact with. so if they did implement this kind of system that means that solo players who don't want to get ganked don't have to worry about it so they could still play in open and that would also mean that open players have more people to interact with.

It would solve alot of problems. Really the only people I could see having a problem with this system are the griefers who wouldn't be able to wantonly interdict and destroy anyone and everyone that they want. which is the problem with open as it stands right now and why so many people stick to Solo in the first place.

Horrible idea. It's already enough that we have in a few months unbreakable and unmovable player assets in the game. I don't really want to interact with somebody who wants to change open mode to some watered down "whenever I want it to be dangerous galaxy" (and no not dangerous because of the title, dangerous because of the lore). People looking for organic PvP, Open bgs, and pp players would have a problem with it. It's one thing to know somebody is working against you in Solo/PG compared to somebody flying in front of you in an god-mode ship.
Plus there enough people around in open to have lot's of different experiences. All the stuff you talk about in the other post I'm doing all the time and in open, no problem at all.

FYI griefing is against the ToS, I think you mean ganking, which is allowed.

Honestly though this just confirms my suspicions that I have had all along when it comes to people who talked about not having enough people in open. it's not about having more people than open to interact with its about having more targets to gank and troll.

This just confirms that people who play in solo/pg and want to change open have no idea about what is actually going on in open. All the scare stories about gankers in every system and you can't go anywhere without a g5 murderboat yourself or you fast travel to the station. All lies.
Come to think of it the last time I got interdicted was by a fuel rat:oops:.

Are we there yet?

Read my above post. You aren't going to fool me with the "it doesn't even happen that much bro" line. I know it's not true.

You own a federal corvette and you allowed an FDL to kill you?

Are you sure the gankers are the problem?

You sure it was a gank and not somebody whos bgs gets wrecked by people running missions for sirus corp, nobody likes sirus. That would be a "valid" reason to pull somebody. Or maybe PP. You pledged to the smurf, aren't you?

I went to open at a CG, was interdicted countless times, but always got away. Last time I was in the bubble I went for a few days to all the known hotspots and nobody around to have a friendly with. Anywhere else nobody around to even o7.

Also don't confuse gankers and griefers. One is allowed, the other isn't.
