Griefers make open impossible, and how easy the solution is.

2-3 hours per engineer. A bit longer for Palins 5kly. Elite in Trading in a day with mining.
Mats per missionrunning or USS-Grinding...the rest you trade at the brokers. Starting from scratch you should have your fully enginieered FDL in about 3 weeks gaming time.

And for your information: I don't club seals...I club sealclubbers.

Somehow I find your name amusing. For a Mastodon you're quite thin-skinned.

I bet you couldnt even find a meta alloy right now to unlock farseer and get more than 20 LY jumprange to do all the stuff in this post it actulally took 5 years for you to do.

When did I ever mentioned it took 5 years for me? But whatever fits your mood. Try it or let it be...I have several competetive boats in the hangar and have lots of fun with them. Right now I have another appointment. Tonight we're training "Hide and Seek" in the rings of San Tu. You can join in for a dance if you like. I promise...I'll be gentle to your stressed out skin. :sneaky:

My alt CMDR which I started last month has about 40 hours on record, and is now residing in Colonia, having travelled there in a Viper Mk4 (because, why not) with 42ly jump range (yes, FSD booster unlocked).

Experience does count, but it's possible, and it wasn't a grind - I didn't even touch mining at all during that time.

I dont care about how many compotative boats you got, it's obvious you dont know what you talk about. And I'm in Sol right now, come and get me, poser.

Wasnt a grind to get those epsilon patterns for me neither, having build a fortune stacking RamTah missions. Couldnt tell with a straight face to a colleague at work he would get those easily in just a few hours neither, because that last part is complete .

Now that you mention, the Guardian Tech components or whatever they're called were a bit of a grind. Took me all but one menu log to farm them.

I'm not impressed. You just started using the commodities filter to try to stick to ingame tools. Must be a game changer after all those fetch quests.

What fetch quests? I didn't do any of those.

Sure. Then may I add you kinda went on some kind of quest to fetch those, dare I say?
Well, if you're insisting on semantics then sure, for you it might be a fetch quest, for me it's enjoyable gameplay. Fetch quest has negative connotations in my book so I'd rather not call it that myself. Because, like I said, it was enjoyable, otherwise I wouldn't have done it.

Exactly. No point in arguing about what people find fun or dont. Be it a fourteen hour fun ride to go to Colonnia on an alt or a five year schedule to finally engineer an FDL in less than an hour, while others having vaguely played anything else find some fetch quests overstay their welcome. The important is that FDev respects our time while we collectively pose as skilled hardcore gamers in front of the noobs in forum gank threads.

So much bitterness.
