some Missions in the Buliton Borad have a Star Symbol. It looks like rings and stars. What makes these missions diffrent from the ones without that symbol?
Yea, I need the new mission types, too. Also the full set of icons would be awesome. Can this thread be updated with the new mission types?
if you search in the galaxy map for the station it will show you where it is and it will not be in the target system I have been looking for why this is. the mission target port/station is usually 50 jumps away/ e.g., WHY?
X.) Varied Missions
There are two mission types which are identical to the missions above but offer very different rewards.
- Faction Ranking Missions
- Invitation Missions
Faction Ranking Missions reward you with military ranking in one of the primary factions - Alliance, Federation, and Empire. Beyond the reward they correspond to the other more common missions in all respects.
Invitation Missions are a reward in and of themselves. They provide you with a pass to an otherwise restricted system but currently have no actual mission to accomplish. Traveling to the system you've received your invitation to will allow you to take further Faction Ranking Missions which may not otherwise become available.
can anybody explain me what is the game logic beyond if you accept "massacre" missions in a same zone, where you have been training for hours, suddenly the ships ratio raise to 200000000:1 in your disfavour, suddenly you're the favourite target of the entire zone and before it wasn't? what could change in a conflict zone by the time you get to a station, accept a mission, and get back after 5 min max? please, i don't get it...
Thank you for the reply
my problem\question is, since i'm at the "beginning" with 200 hours played, i'm getting annoyed by some sort of difficulty increase mechanic that i ignore somehow...
Right now I'm training for FA off, as I would really like to get at the point where I can stick to other ships tails, so sometimes I like to go in conflict zones as well... to train with moving targets, sticking to them quite a while, without engaging... than I pick the side with the majority of the ships (on the right menu, faction tab...) and start playing... is good, i'm able to raise 600.000\1.000.000 credits before going back for repairs.
My problems starts when I choose a mission to monetize more and I go back to the same CZ I've been in and out for the past hours "easily" and the other faction start to have increased amount of ships till the point that it is a suicide just picking the faction itself.
I do get a difficulty increase on ships having more experienced AI because you drop in with a mission active... some sort of trigger system...
what I don't get is that amount of difference on spawns for the opposite faction and the fact that despite having some targets to go with, they look more likely to focus me rather than everybody else... really odd behavior compared from before.
How does it works actually? Is there any game mechanic that I don't know yet?
[???]
No, I don't think there is a built-in mechanic specifically to make the opposite side to the one you have a mission to massacre have better spawn rates and I don't think there is a trigger to make you "public enemy no 1" to that side just because you have the massacre mission. However there is just the normal RNG effect to take into account and of course any mission being active does affect the RNG.
Just to be clear though, in a Low CZ there is more chance of you being "picked on" than in a High CZ - so maybe that is a factor you are experiencing.
I have not done a lot of combat lately so there may have been changes to when I last hit a CZ for a fight (probably well over a year ago) and I can't remember how long before that since I did a massacre mission (if they were even called that then
) - so maybe someone with more recent knowledge can help you out.
