So what's the exploration data weekly arx cap for selling data?
Billions of credits worth of data could presumably be worth a whole lot more than 400 arx.
Honestly, that add sums up how I feel about deep space exploration Arx quite well.Kind of reminds me of this ad for some reason...
Oh well. Guess some explorers will just have to camp out for weeks on end if they want to get their arx worth. I'd rather play the game, but it is starting to become more difficult to tell what the game actually is.
Pathetic. My grandmother can do better than that.Weak.

Don't tell me you didn't see this coming.Pathetic. Don't start a flame war you can't finish.
I can do that. W-61. Using a LABS delivery.Don't tell me you didn't see this coming.

Oh, I saw it coming, so I went and prepared the big guns.Don't tell me you didn't see this coming.
I've been testing a bit, and I can say that exploring outside of the bubble is NOT solely based on distance traveled or the number jumps made. I had 1 session where I traveled ~1600 ly in 32 jumps and earned 16 Arx compared to another session where I traveled ~2300 ly in 45 jumps and earned 13 Arx. Other than the distances traveled and the number of jumps, the only notable differences between the 2 sessions were an extra 103 FSS scans in the 2300 ly session and an extra 6 Codex entries in the 1600 ly session. So far it seems like 5 jumps will get you 1 Arx, a Codex entry will get you 1 Arx, and an indeterminate number of FSS and/or DSS scans may or may not get you 1 Arx.ARX while you are out of the bubble exploring is based solely on distance traveled and nothing else, I have determined this by exploring an equal number of system using my regular jump range and economic mode. Scanning, mapping, discovering, entering data in the codex, none of that makes any difference. By the way, has anyone tested to see if cashing in your codex discoveries actually rewards ARX?
I don't care if I max out my Arx every week, I would just like the opportunity to do so. As it stands right now I would need to play 57 hours each week to consistently reach the Arx cap, and that is assuming the best case scenario. In all likelihood, a deep space explorer attempting to reach the Arx cap would need to treat the game like two full time jobs. I suspect that you haven't been playing 80 hours per week since the update, but you reached the Arx cap last week and will likely do it again this week.I play, I earn some ARC for it.. I hit cap the 1st week and am well on the way to doing it again this week. But I haven't changed my play style one bit, I'm not out to cap every week, my play style is too random for that.
My question here is why do you feel you have to max it out all the time? Going after credits I can understand, but I can't understand all worry this over points for cosmetics..If you can explain it in a way that doesn't sound like greed, I'm all ears.

Handing in exploration data will give you 1 Arx for every 100k CR of data (which is excessive considering bounty vouchers are worth 200k CR for 1 Arx). Selling VOs in all at once will reward you with very few Arx (if any), but selling them 1t at a time apparently will give you a LOT more Arx for the same number of VOs.Did 152 in 6ish hours. Did a 300ish ly exploration loop. honk and scoot mostly, followed by a bunch of missions. Not sure what the points beakup was. Overall, I seem to be doing an average of 20 ARX per hour, simply by playing with my usual random style.. Explore.. Do missions.. Dabble in some trade. Hunt a pirate or 2.
Seems that concentrating on a single aspect kills accumulation.. eg I've seen people talk about dumping mass amounts of void opals for little ARX gain.. Pure exploration gets me little - selling the data makes ARX. But it seems the more varied my play, the more I seem to earn.
TL / DR Have F D said they will balance out to reward exploration play more than some kid buying and selling their ship armour?
1 ARX for every 100k explo data. There is no cap on how much data you can sell, but once you sell a max of 40M you hit the 400 weekly ARX capSo what's the exploration data weekly arx cap for selling data?
I've seen codex scans pay out a regular 1 ARX per find (surface and stellar finds). Scanning and mapping is less predictable - sometimes its around 1 ARX per 100-200k, other times it seems broken. Plus the pretty regular payouts of 1 every 5 jumps, and the refueling/synthesis ARX.Scanning, mapping, discovering, entering data in the codex, none of that makes any difference.
Yes, didn't get any on cashing in - though I think I was under 100k CR - and typically things are paying at 1 per 100k / 1M so it may just not have been enough. And it's a bit moot as by the time you're cashing in then you will have a lot of explo data, so it's less useful than the payout 'on discovery'By the way, has anyone tested to see if cashing in your codex discoveries actually rewards ARX?
