General Hard Point Fire Groups

Correct me if I'm wrong but before Odyssey, when you were in super-cruise, you could see and select fire groups on HUD and see what was primary and secondary. Now it seems that the only way to see Fire Groups or select them is in normal flight.
Is there a possibility that we can have the option to see the changes in Fire Groups, on HUD, while in Super Cruise as before?
This option really did help a lot for preparation when caught off guard or preparing to enter into a fight.

Example: I am in Super-Cruise running Analysis or Combat mode and I can see my Fire Groups set, Primary is "Surface Scanner", Secondary is "D-Scanner". But if I cycle through my Fire Groups I can not see anything per say Primary or Secondary Fire Groups. I just kind of have to know it by heart or guess. Now I do know that my next Fire Group is my weapons but can not see this on my HUD.
This HUD information, as before, was a vital part of knowing what Fire Group you were currently using as you could, again mentioned above, prepare for a surprise pull or preparation for an assault before dropping.

Seriously, I have 4 different fire groups and I would much rather be worried about dodging an interdiction than what fire group I am in.

This is very true, but have you ever been able to dodge a pull with a trade set-up, mining set-up Cutter, Vette, or a T9-10 by an eagle or even a cobra?
Only takes one tiny pull and then in seconds the other 3 Vettes in the wing show up combat ready to attack.
