Hardware helps AI :
Artificial Intelligence is often Achilles heel in most mostly games .
The last decade i have seen crazy evolution with graphism , but even in popular strategic game , except for chess (is it "real" AI... ?) AI is usually
worse than disappointing .
2 possibilities :
- AI was not was smart designed
- server lacks computing power
The forum is here to help designer to get good ideas or to find clever issue...
For the second reason , i had an idea , but i dont know if it is possible due to
evil hacking , cheating ...
The idea ==> make like the SETI@HOME : Computing shared .
I just get a very good computer with crazy graphic cards plenty of rams...
If 1000 players with this config give shared computing , it could help a lot for
Artificial Intelligence ( graphism will not be a limiting factor for fun here i think , they look to good manage...hold on boys ! ) .
What about you ?
Would you be agree to share computing if possible ?
may be organize rotations sharing computing teams ( not to pay too much energy...)
