Has FDev got bored of the Leaderboards already?

Season 3 ended on Thursday morning.
I see nothing about it posted by any FDev employee on these forums (please correct me if I am wrong, but a search and dig through found nada).

So was that it?
Did they get bored after season 2?
Will it ever be supported further than a script resetting it each season from this point on?

Feeling a little deflated. Cheers FDev.

Regards,
Gus

Is that why people keep badgering fdev to post? To make them feel good? Interesting.

Paige usually posts about the seasons, and she's afk for the next week, so maybe that's the reason. Or else the game is ded like you say 🤔 Steamcharts have already been invoked recently, so you could be on to something!

How did you come to that conclusion? Looks like a failed troll attempt.

I don't recall saying or even implying that "the game is ded". again, just feels like a failed troll attempt. But thanks for taking the time to read my post. Even if you didn't understand it.

Factabulous is just having a bit of fun and implying in which direction the thread is going to go. It wasn't trolling or anything personal, I assure you.

I can definitely understand why people wish for a little faster acknowledgment of community issues or accomplishments, or even about certain bugs that don't seem to be on FDev's radar. If the reason for a delay in response is valid, such as a person being on vacation, someone is likely covering their duties and can indicate such. Or if it was noted somewhere and folks missed it, fair play, just mention the notation.

Consider this, if you work for FDev and you care about continuing to nurture interest in this game, wouldn't you welcome a post like what Gus wrote?

You've got a squadron leader with hundreds of players, asking a fair question about which he tried search first... this is the kind of advocate who is creating new players, referring people to the game, and extending interest for existing players. This is exactly the kind of player FDev should want to foster, and if asked, I bet the team leads at FDev would agree. A single fan keeping dozens of other active fans interested? Buying new paint jobs and ship kits? This is the kind of player that helps FDev to keep the lights on.

There are DOZENS to HUNDREDS of highly active squadrons competing for the top spots, which anyone can see if they search through squadrons. Each squadron focuses typically on placing well in just one category, as it's very difficult to place in the top 3.

The post is polite and not trolling, and the question is fair.

I don't follow this stuff, so are the results missing from the game (which would be a lousy system), or are you merely awaiting a forum kudos?

Ask Ian where did he get his data.
I read it from the in-game screens, which is why it's only for PC. At the moment the Frontier forum posts are the best way to find out who won on other platforms - hopefully soon.

(Today is a public holiday in the UK, which may be why things are a bit slower)

In the meanwhile I've found this as well.

Game is not dead. It is in maintenance mode. And i cannot blame FDev for this - when you have four NEW upcoming franchises, the game which was released more than 4 years ago is a pretty good synonym for "maintenance". Or "life support". But definitely NOT dead. Unless life support is turned off :D

The game is not dead, its just FD seem to have a hot / cold approach to features that require ongoing production time from them. Powerplay for example would require a fair amount of support from FD- and look where it is currently (i.e. FD shut it in a cupboard hoping it would go away). Anything self supporting (like the BGS which has its own closed ecosystem) is 'safe', while anything that requires two way interaction is on shaky ground. I get dev / CM time is always in short supply, but stuff like CQC, Powerplay etc have been left alone for far too long and potentially the pattern could repeat here. Lets hope not though, and that we see the improvements posted by FD for Powerplay too.

I actually don't really know what the OP is after. Leaderboards are what they are aren't they? the results are in game for anyone who cares to look at.

Did you miss the news about the update coming in 2020 or something? How is it in maintenance mode when they're actively developing and expanding the game? Please stop spreading disinformation.
