Has FDev got bored of the Leaderboards already?

For me this doesn't work. (Hutton Orbital neither, I just checked it out with my T7...)
Go to the current season leaderboard in-game, and above it to the right is a drop-down saying "this season", which you can change to say "last season".
Obviously only works for your own platform, so you can't see who won on the others.
I'm shocked... 3 pages and still the standard reply is missing... so here I go:

which has certainly been provided previously, though it's correct that they didn't promise to continue making those posts in future.

Which is a fair point. Some people might be interested in seeing all platform results. It's probably not many but at least some. While the results have been provided in the forums in the past, possibly creating an expectation that will continue, it's not a promise or guarantee that is so.
There are large portions of people demanding these things be done in-game because it breaks immersion having to go to an external source (eg: forums) to find in-game content while others are upset that in-game content isn't being provided on the forums. Unfortunately you can't please everyone.
For the results to be posted in the forums, someone has to manually collect the info, collate it and post that. People think there is a large team available for doing that (Devs don't post in the forums by the way!) when there's not. They're receiving and managing complaints, working with the devs and other teams on new feature progress, working with the same teams on bugs, prioritising those bugs, working out content publications, communications with various individuals and parties and so forth and now people are upset they're also not posting in-game available content in the forums...
When you look at what that thread turned into, not really surprised they just left it to the in game leaderboard, which does everything it needs to, and cannot be commented on
Well I think the only justified complaint is that we don't know how the other platforms performed. I don't want to see this information in game though since it breaks immersion when I can select Xbox from a drop down menu. No, unless that changed today, that only shows your squadron.
I would prefer to see the seasons results in game. Unfortunately, the season results are not in game. Only your squadron positions.

On the right there, it says "This Season"
It is a drop down menu, you can also select "Last Season"
You can't see a Leaderbord, if you are not in a Squadron.Yay we solved a problem \o/
(I completely missed that drop-down too
And to answer your follow up question: Because pilots might want to join the best, or 2nd, or 3rd best etc Squadron in the activity they are most interested in participating.
It's kind of a really good tool to find an Active Squadron ( whether this was intentional or not ).
