I was a Lieutenant with the Feds and a Baron with the Empire before v1.3. So I believe I know how ranking up works before v1.3...
Do missions for factions which are aligned with the Feds and complete as many as I can until the Naval Progression mission pops. Then complete that Naval Progression and I should be promoted. Right? Feel free to correct me if I am wrong.
I have been doing the same for post v1.3 and I have not gotten any naval progression mission. I have probably completed over 60+ missions through the course of the weekend when v1.3 came out. Missions of varying types as well: from donations types to assassinations types, fed-ex to message courier. To make matters worse, and since I am a casual player during the work week, the recent post v1.3 patches or fixes or server updates occur right when it's my time to play.
In one instance I even took on a few missions and next thing I knew, there was a server downtime announcement. I couldn't complete them since they expire while the servers were either in downtime or it was the night cycle in my part of the world. It has been a very frustrating week, especially when I read of others getting Empire ranks all the way up to King etc.
I do not know if others have experienced the same, and I even aligned myself with a Fed power thinking it might help my situation (which I highly doubted). I am really at a loss on how to progress further. Naval ranks are my own personal goal and yet now I am uncertain if I can fully reach my goal anymore. I am not sure if my account is bugged or I just need to do 100+ more missions for the next Fed naval mission to unlock.
Though I don't post often on the official forums, I was one of the original KS pledgers. I even bought skins and merchandise from FD after the game launched. All this to support FD. But now I don't know. My frustration has come to the stage that I felt I needed to share it here. I want to believe the game isn't so broken. My faith in this game is collapsing.
