HDR and 4K - The next thing....

So Lloyd, let me start by thanking you and Ed very much for the stream, the PS4 Pro is looking very, very, very good. Of course, we are never happy though.

Can you please, please give us 4K and HDR. o7

I and my very beautiful full RGB 1080p high-contrast Samsung gaming monitor are very happy Lloyd :D But I would like Stormy to be happy, too. HDR should be relatively easy once you figure out how you want to implement it artistically. As for 4K, perhaps you can develop it for PS4 Pro in parallel with Xbox One X.

They did say there is a lot of time from now till November, so I am confident 4k can come. I just want the HDR icing too, and that will benefit all PS4's.

One thing I've learned following the XBox forum is that Frontier continues to improve their platform-specific code. A recent update to XBox greatly improved graphical quality for planetary landings. We're getting what's basically version 1.0 for PS4 on Tuesday, so I'm highly confident that it will improve over time.

Rewatch the stream when Ed and Lloyd initially discuss HDR and 4K. Note the exchange of looks.....

What do you think current PS4 dev time is being spent on?

This, the visuals of the XboxOne is improved drastically over last 2 years.. And even now there is still room for improvements. Im positive this will be the same on PS4

Yeh, its all looking good. Really excited for Tuesday now, very happy I made the jump to Pro. But you know, greedy. :) Want more.

As I was watching the live stream, I was thinking, "Great, now the next 5 days are going to be an ETERNITY." I might stop drinking coffee and go into a caffeine-deprived coma to fast-forward to Tuesday! If not for the headaches...

Everything you want excet waiting will be on and in the PS5. Not a matter of if, but when.

The difference that HDR gives is so stark. Can't wait until they support that! Looking forward to that more than 4K support.

Just wish they'd actually commit to saying "Yes, we're working on PSVR support" instead of just "No comment".

I actually wonder if they are working on PSVR support. It would not surprise me if they've tabled that project .
