Hello Beautiful...

I love it when you call me beautiful :D

You know you're coming back from a long trip when the space station starts to feel like home. :)

Yes ! I love that feeling too. Coming home or whatever system I liked and hadn't seen in a long time, request docking, and the station greeting you !
@OP : Very nice screenshot ! I wish FD add a form of supersupersampling for VR user... I cannot take nice screenshots anymore.:(

I know the OP has stated the thread or OP wasnt about the Python, but its the thing in the picture your first drawn to after reading the headline. It is indeed a Python in front of somthing. Lovley screenie all the same.

As for returining home Im a bit of a nomad, after my last venture out into the black I settled at the bottom of the bubble in Imperial space for some time, but now Im back out in the black not sure if when I get home I will stay there or look for another out of the way Imperial system. Now if the asteroid bases came with a ship yard id settle out here for a bit.

As the saying goes; There is no place like home.

Python and gorgeous? Well, to each their own. The Cutter, that is gorgeous!

Okay! FINE! Since so many of you prefer the Cutter to the Python, here you go!

And here's an FDL for good measure!

I must admit, This whole thread took a turn I was not expecting, and I've gotten a lot of laughter out of it... lol

Yes, your home system is quite pretty.

Personally, I like the python better than the Cutter too, but most ships have at least a few loyal fans. My favorite ship is my AspX. While I agree that it's not a pretty ship, I spend most of my time in the cockpit, staring out and the expansive view is often beautiful.

A lot of people swear by the AspX. I have one myself and love the view when flying it, but the moment I ever get into combat with it the cockpit is always the first thing to break. I actually had to invest in a better life support system because I'd routinely get caught in places where 7:50 wasn't enough time to get back to a station, lol.

LOL! That's happened to me several times and I too invested in A-grade life support. These days, I avoid combat while flying my AspX, so it's back to the lighter weight D-grade, to increase jump range.

Too much silicon-glass.

Cutter and Clipper take some pilot skill to handle correctly. Those lacking these skills find them "useless" and go to character-less, boring ships like Python or Vulture. Flying these is about as interesting as watching paint dry.

Only use for a Python (except missions to outpost) would be as a very large doorstop! :p

You would be happy with the crew loss rates of the U-2, and F-104G, I presume.

Read "Stranger To The Ground", for what it is to fly a (redacted) of an airplane in night IFR, with Cat 5 thunderstorms.

All too true, I'm afraid. :(
