Help, I need Ship Rats!

I will never exploration logging!Boo Hiss No! Don't be giving him good advise, I am sat in work rather bored and this thread is providing some fun.

And of course my ship has blown up, I don't wanna end up in Orbit in the SRV surviving is already a big enough problem as it is! I will make that work somehow, survive somehow and maybe, just maybe, in a few months or so somebody can pick me up. Or maybe not, but we think about that when it happens, for now don't panick and keep calm!
And it was very good that I made a picture from high above, thats something I can work with. Won't have time to play more today (even 1000Ly out on a rock you gotta watch Football), but I can see a way out of the Canyon that might work.
I'm where the X is, or at least somewhere close, I think (its no sience, unfortunatley) and it does look like there is maybe a way out.

okay... BOMBA, don#t do it. who knows whether you'll find yourself in dock.
1. prospect and check, whether you have all materials to repair, refuel and rearm your srv on planet. if yes - you can survive forever.
2. if not - how far is the next planet? maybe somebody can pick you up with an anaconda and shuffle you over in real space to the next planet?
3. make a map of the planet. start with landmarks, and then go into details. you have at least 8 years. people will come over, and at some point we'll run a cg to build a planetary port at your home. maybe we'll hit the tier with a shipyard...

If only we knew where he was... Would be fun to see his face when he logs back into the game only to find his little SRV surrounded by ships, non of which can help him of course but at least we could keep him company until someone figures out what to do.
1. Planning to do that, thankfully they are all very common so I'm optimistic for now!
2. That won't work, its a system with just two planets, while the other is landable too hes something like 1000ls away.
3. Don't work too much because of me, its allright! (and how could I go and buy something in the shipyard without a ship to dock anyway? ^^) I put my hope into Multicrew, then maybe someone can bring me to a place where I have a ship stored. He then can keep the SRV as payment

First attempts to get out of the Canyon today, I have a plan which is good I saw a way out on the screenshot, I just had to go in the right direction! But what is the right direction? No Idea, its dark, I can hardly see anything and it looks everywhere the same no matter in which direction I look.
So yeah, plan B then: Just pick a direction and hope the best! Sounds easy enough, but I soon learned that this is a very spikey place with lots of high and steep places that are very hard to drive around, hardly made any progress
But I made some progress, thats something! And there are good news: I can get here everything that I need for refuel, repair and rearm my SRV. Take that world, you ain't stoppin me!

.... because looking down you will always see the missing the "recal ship" option. And no matter what you do, don't go to the Ship panel, its very depressing

So, I just started going out exploring and about 1000Ly out, found a nice looking planet to drive about a bit and having fun. Good times! Then I recall my Ship and it was weird, my view was blocked (lots of high stuff around me) so I target it from the contact panel.
Shields down, hull down to 30%. and spinning around ... what are you doing Asp?!
C'mon, don't be silly... aaaaaand hes gone, with a boom, bye bye Asp!

I do a considerable amount of planet side exploring, dismissing the ship often for safety, this does not sound good.
I've only ever had one odd issue with recall, the ship returned shields replenishing with hull down to 38%, there was no indication of an attack, and the touch down was smooth.
