Help Interpreting Galmap Trade Data, or: What have y'all been trading from Uszaa to Diso?

I'm participating in this latest Interstellar Initiative and for this one, I'm trying to determine where I can get the requested commodities from the Galaxy Map trade tools. Normally for a CG I'd just use EDDB, and that's what I've done for years, but I'd really like to get the hang of the in-game tools.

Okay so I understand that you can set the galaxy map to search markets in a 40LY radius around you for systems importing or exporting specific commodities. Blue means Import and Green means Export. And I can see this information for only systems I've docked in, and once I've docked at one port in the system the map will show me all the market data in that system, so far so good. In fact, I managed to find out that Austen Town Station in Arque exports Grain using this system; brilliant.

But trade data and trade routes... Now this is where I'm becoming stuck. Because I haven't docked at all the systems around Diso, I can't see all the markets, so I thought I would be able to get around that somewhat by purchasing trade data for some systems and seeing where CMDRs have been trading certain Commodity types to Diso and Orerve from over the last 24 hours.

So I bought trade data for Uszaa, and I saw that there was a nice bright green trading line going from Uszaa to Diso. I checked my filters and, sure enough, green means Food. And Grain is a Food-type Commodity.

So I reasoned, CMDRs must have been trading Food to Diso over the last 24 hours. And the only reason I can think why CMDRs would have done that is to take the requested CG commodity - Grain over to Diso.

So I go dock in Uszaa and check the markets... The system doesn't produce or export any of the CG commodities.

So... What the heck have y'all been taking to Diso from Uszaa then!?

And if I'm interpreting the data wrong, I would very much appreciate some correction from the trade boffins of this forum.

YouTube, or even the fdev stream where they explained this, though I guess you'll need someone to dig that up for you.

No no, I am perfectly capable of looking those up myself, thank you. More to the point, I have watched some before back when the trade tools were newly added - including ObsidianAnt's explanation and the FDEV streams. I just thought asking on here would provide more expedient and relevant information to my specific question, rather than trawling through hours of video footage.

So I imagine I will have to watch them through again anyway, since all I'll apparently get in the forum is condescension rather than actual help. Thanks for nothing, I guess.

The difficulty I have really in interpretation is that I cannot find any way of expanding the trending trade data filters outside of their broad commodity types. For example, I can tick "Food" but on Xbox cannot expand to select different Food commodities like Grain etc...

EDIT:
In my control settings, the UI Nested Toggle setting is set to the Y button on my HOTAS, but pressing it in the Galaxy Map does nothing to expand the nested options.

Uszaa is Industrial, so the only Food it would normally export is Food Cartridges. If you can't get the sub-category expanding to work, that's probably what it is. Shifnalport is Agricultural so doesn't import them, but the other four stations in Diso will.

Why is less clear, but I don't know how many players moving goods it takes to make a route show up - not that many, so far as I can tell.

Ah thanks, so it would only take a few CMDRs taking food cartridges over there to show up as a trending route. I guess that makes sense for finding lesser known routes, but yeah the lack of subcategory expanding makes it impossible to tell what's really going on.

I've put it up on the issue tracker here:
https://issues.frontierstore.net/issue-detail/8454

But I doubt it'll get much traction due to the preponderance of CMDRs using third party tools by default. Hence why it doesn't look like it's been raised before.
