Im stuck in a system and cant jump out of it because my frameshift drive can only jump 6 LY and the closets system is about 12 ly is there anything I can do? I have upgraded my FSG to the best but i can only jump using 1.50 tons of full and the jump is over 5 tons.

What ship is it, what size/class FSD have you fitted?
Edit: Change back to the eqpt that allowed you to jump there originally?
You can always "buy back" the one you sold so you can recover somewhat as @Speedcuffs said.

It's everything below (& above). (you didn't really upgrade at all, you looked at the letter & not the size & paid no attention to how far you can jump).
If you can still afford a ship that can jump 12 ly then you could buy that and then once you have found a station that sells a better FSD for your current ship pay to transfer it there and equip the larger FSD. If you have enough credits that is.

You can also sell the FSD you bought, it will be auto replaced with a E grade module of the correct size.
