Help! Unable to get ED to run with WMR VR Headset, worked fine with Rift

I just got my Dell WMR headset today, it works much better for me than the Rift since I can wear my glasses with it and it flips up so I can see my 2 side monitors.

The game ran fine with the Rift, I launched it from the Oculus library. I have Steam VR Installed although ED is just linked in Steam, it was not installed via Steam. When I try to run ED via SteamVR it just starts in the normal monitor mode. There is no HMD option under 3D in ED settings.

I installed "Revive" which lets you run apps from your Oculus library on WMR. Other Oculus apps work fine this way, but again ED will not launch in VR mode, just normal monitor. I also have the WMR for Steam VR app installed.

About the only thing I haven't tried is installing ED via Steam, I'm not sure what will happen to my control bindings and other personalized settings, or if I'll have to pay for the game again.

How do you WMR VR users get ED to run? Can it be done from the WMR home? If so I couldn't figure out a way.

Thanks, unless I want to dig out my Rift and hook it all back up I can't play in VR now.

I updated EDProfiler and told it to do VR, and that finally worked. SteamVR fired up and I was playing on the WMR Visor. The text for sure looks better, but if you turn your head just a little bit side to side it becomes very blurry.

Another problem, I was in the middle of fighting an NPC Anaconda and all of a sudden I'm looking at the Windows Mixed Reality home screen with SteamVR in a smaller box. I lifted the visor and clicked on ED to bring it back into focus but that didn't work. Had to combat log and troubleshoot. I found a Do not Disturb setting on SteamVR and turned that on, but still had it happen one more time just as I clicked a hat button on my joystick. After getting the game back in focus I tried clicking the hat again but the problem didn't reappear. Once I click on the SteamVR box the game comes back into focus. This could be a big deal if it keeps happening. I have a Voice Attack command for "Set Focus" but it didn't have any effect with this problem.

Edit: played a few hours and didn't get dumped to another screen. And I misspoke above, if you look to the side without moving your head the text is blurry, I think that's just the way the WMR devices are. For example, when looking at the area top center where the Frame Shift Drive charging bar is, and then you move just your eyes to the upper right screen that has the name of your ship and "info" below that, that text will be blurry until you move your head and look directly at it. Then it's very sharp.

Yes, the WMR sets are sharper but with a smaller 'sweet spot'.

Now I'm having software issues, I think it's the WMR software causing problems with ED and with Teamspeak, although it could be SteamVR or one of the add-ons. Even when playing on the monitor I'll suddenly get a message "are you sure?" like I had tried to exit the game. I quickly click "no" and the game shuts down anyway. This happened twice this morning and I was not doing anything unusual in game. If I shut down WMR software the games also shuts down, even when playing on the monitor. So I finally unplugged the USB cable from the VR headset and that seems to have fixed the problem, the WMR software doesn't start now. With Teamspeak I'll suddenly lose audio and it looks like everyone else on the channel is talking (blue lights lite up). If I go into settings and select a different playback source then return to the one I'm using that will fix the problem. That problem has not happened since I pulled the USB and shut down WMR software.
