Newcomer / Intro HELP! Wanted by the Federation

You pay them via the stations or ports in the 'contacts' menu. Ir should give you 4 sub options when in. Scroll to the appropiate one and you will see 'pay fines' or 'pay bounties'.

Go to a federation owned starport, (it will tell you in the system map) dock, go into starport services and you'll see 'contacts'

Click contacts and the top selection in that menu should give you the option to clear fines.

If not you're in a station not affiliated with the federation

Ok this is a problem.
Bounty mission to kill amy bourke...finally found her and after a bit of a scuffle she crashes into me.
no engines are wrecked and I am floating in space without auto repair unit.
Any ideas??
Am I going to lose all my bounties of about 300k being alliance empire and federation.
Any one know of another way to call distress as the signal has been removed..........
I can't even float to the docking......
Is a bit annoying as self destruct means I lose the lot...
Even turning off all modules and giving power to engines still no luck...

Sadly, you are screwed. The only way out is self-destruct.

Last time I died I kept the bounties, I'm 95% sure FD changed the feature for when you die you keep the bounties. Due to popular (and quite rightly so) demand. But you lose exploring data.

I'm in a bind. I'm wanted by the federation, but under contacts menu it says I'm clear. I'm at a federation station. I've tried stations that are independently owned too. There is no fine to pay. Exited and restarted and my wanted status is gone. A bug I guess. Almost got me killed

That was the case in gamma I believe, but every time I've died since launch, I've lost my bounty vouchers.
Unless they changed it in 1.01.

Haven't had a chance to play after the update this morning.
