No WTE animal is a good thing. There are so many regular exhibit animals that would work better than a WTE animal. I mean unless we get a bald eagle in a non walkthrough exhibit but the chances of that are a million to one.

I actually agree with this. I can't really picture anything other than flying birds in a Mountain animal pack WE. Personally, I like the idea of a giant salamander

Aside from the wolverine, the walrus is also extremely popular and iconic. The musk ox and sea otter are also decently popular. Throw in an arctic mountain hare and a pine marten (both of which range into the arctic circle) to give Europe some of the critters they keep asking for and maybe a penguin, and I think that would be a very solid tundra/polar pack for Christmas. The snowy owl has been hovering near/at the top of aviary wishlists for so long if they want to add birds.

The tree roo could be paired with the Hamadryas baboon and spectacled bear. Add some goats, a rhea (or another bird), and a small small critter or two (Pallas's cat, yellow throated marten, hyrax, marmot, rock wallaby) and you'll have a very solid mountain pack for 2024. Eagles would be awesome.

Honestly though, I want an Amazon Animal pack for the winter. It's probably the only way we'd get a SA coati and some New world primates quickly, which are also extremely in-demand. Hopefully, there would also be a bird for the Americas. (Macaws, pretty please!) For me, this pack would address the most glaring holes in the habitat animal roster and allow me to appreciate the other packs more. I've been feeling a twinge of disappointment for every post-continent pack for not having enough to fix SA.

The only other animal on the wishlist that stands toe-to-toe with the above mentioned mega-requested animals is the Secretary Bird. The only way I could see that one coming in 2023 is if they gave us birds for Christmas, which I would fully support, but I think it's much more likely to be saved for a Safari/Scrub pack later on.

I bolded the most-requested species that I think upcoming packs are likely to be built around.

This is the only pack where I know a lot of people would enjoy but I find really really boring and not useful. Walrus isn’t in any zoos, if we’re getting another otter I would prefer NA otter, musk ox is fine I guess but it’s boring compared to the takin. Pine Marten, Arctic Hare and another Penguin would all I really take from a pack like this.

This is from the big wishlist, not my personal one. The walrus and musk ox are also highly requested, but I really don't think they'd stand strong enough on their own for an arctic pack. I've accepted that they're coming. I like them, but they are not top picks for me.

Correction: Walruses are uncommon in zoos. I may have only seen them in SeaWorld Orlando, but they do have a presence in captivity.
Side Note: I don’t think walruses would be a good fit for this pack. It’d be better for a Marine Pack, Tundra Pack, or maybe a Taiga Pack.
Double Side Note: I have a funny story. On a trip to SeaWorld earlier this year, I saw the male walrus . . . making himself happy, if you know what I mean. I knew walruses could do that, but then I finally saw it. Hoo boy. My friend who came with me did not want to watch.
