HMD Quality Setting needs some more options - finer control desired!

HI FD - thanks for putting the HMD Quality/pixel density setting for VR in the Ed menus, but -

Can we please have some more options ie 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 1.4 etc, or even enter a "Custom" number value for the HMD Quality setting? We can in the Oculus Debug Tool (I presume the same in SteamVR settings).

Sometimes you can have low detail settings that allow a higher level of HMDQuality/pixel density, and sometimes switching up from 1.25 to say 1.5 is too much, even on a 1080-class GPU. And switching down to lower pixel densities can leave you with too much headroom.

We just need a bit finer control of that HMD Quality setting as it makes quite a large performance difference between each 0.25x jump from level to level. This is a vital setting for mid-high end GPU's to offset the low resolution of HMD's like the Rift and Vive etc.

Adding more options/increments would be grand so we can make the best use of supersampling without going too far, or not being able to push far enough.

Keep up the great work (the VR dithering is fantastic!)

I want super granular control over the graphic options. For example one the graphic options is called Environment. It has options of low through high or ultra can't remember. But I would like it to plus out and list each environment part that this option has an effect on with with low through high for each part. That way you could choose which part of the environment is most important to you and save the extra overhead for something else. I would like this for all of the graphic options.

What it is when I'm the number 6 (not my native language)?
Ok, I just say : "I'm Yololo69 and I approve the OP message"
Is that OK? we keep it? ;)
Good, Thanks!

Generally seconded as well.

But I would find it even better to get a direct VR HMD resolution control which allows the user to manually Switch to higher resolutions.

Since this weekend, I own a Pimax 4K, and I have the strong feeling it cannot show its strength – the resolution – since Elite VR HMD resolution is adapted to the Rift’s and Vive’s resolution…

Of course, it would not work in native 4K with my Fury – and certainly wouldn’t work with a GTX 1080, neither.
But I’d already be glad if I could try something between 1600x960 and 2000x1200. Well, yes, could be, my graphics card would be too weak for this as well. But since the default resolution works quite well and smooth, at least I’d like to have the possibility to try it. In the end, the effect on performance, FPS drops and potential dizziness wouldn’t much worse than increasing HMD quality – but the actual HMD quality option doesn’t please me very much since it’s an quite indirect option I cannot really evaluate.

So, Frontier development team, please implement a direct HMD resolution option. With fixed proportions between width and height, of course; the 16:10 examples above were just a guess from my side.Would be really glad :)
