I'm close to home now... I can see the loop! First time since late-august... :)

Hope it can be seen in these post-friendly scaled down images..

The trip has included my second visit to SgrA*, plenty of scanning in the Core, a bit of Neutron Hopping, going to the Basement and the Roof of the Core... It won't be enough to get me to Elite, but it will get me some part of the way.
Soon time for that auction of Well-Travelled commodities I have lugged around the whole trip. :D

Yeah, I know the feeling when that little reddish smudge appears and slowly resolves into Barnard's Loop. For me at least, I start to skimp on worlds to scan so I can speed up those last parts of the trip. It is so tempting to want to just make a run for it back to the bubble. I managed to resist that, on my last trip, but I was definitely getting sloppy on scanned when I crossed back into the Orion Arm.

Safe travels on your way in, Commander.

And just set a place for this auction, I'd like to check the selection of mugs, pens, rolls of duct tape, and any stuffed mementos that traveled across the galaxy with you. :)

Good luck for your trip back to the bubble Cmdr...have you organised an escort or are you planning on dropping of data (and your precious cargo) at the first possible station?

I have now landed safely!... when I arrived in my Home System I found a wing of 3 wanted NPCs prowling about.. so I dropped out of supercruise for a few minutes, and when I went back into supercruise, they were gone.. and I saw only allied NPS on my way to the outpost... well there, I noticed that my manouvering thrusters controls had been reset at some point.. kind of stressful to reconfigure controls while landing for the first time in months.. it was not a smooth landing, it costed me another 5% of hull.. but now I'm off to party at the Cartographers!...

Enjoy this picture of one of the weirdest things I found during my travels, a water world teeming with life... orbiting a Y dwarf! :)

So!... 33 million credits and one metric shipload of First Discoveries!... :D

I will announce my auctioning off of my well travelled commodities next time I have time to sit down and play for hours.. probably tomorrow or sunday.
