I now get a graphics driver crash during the "preparing compute shaders" step at 59%. I have to ctrl-alt-tab out to end the process. I'm no longer able to play the game, so hoping it's a quick fix.

GPU: Radeon R9 270x. Driver: Radeon Crimson 15.11.1

I'll put in a bug report....

Tried to play around with the Shader Cache Options in the crimson driver? Or Delete the cache?
Maybe this will do something.
 
me to , get to shaders bit and then the screen starts flashing an the game locks up.

Was this AMD drivers too?! Could one of you guys try deleting the XML file, called graphic(somethingorOver) that's listed in another thread?
It may help the compute shaders refresh.

Screw SRV! I want to Euro Truck on the moon! Delivery boys? Anno 2205 as it should've been!
My T9 brings all the trucks to they landing pad and they're like... .... ... ... oh right no atmosphere.

Me too; Radeon Hd 7900, same drivers. Bug report gone in


Mine also locks up at 59% on Compute shaders preparing when I start the game! The music still plays.
Need to use task manager to End task "elitedangerous.exe"

I have ATI 7800 HD

Do i misread this?
Is it no longer possible to target SRVs while in a spacecraft?

I was quite excited to bring my Gunship to actual Gunship duty destroying ground targets including SRVs.
Removing the lockon ability? Please no.

You can still destroy them all you want. You just won't be able to lock on and use heat seeking missiles or gimbals.

What a shame,
now packhounds what shall i do with ye?

I'm very displeased with this change.
I understand that SRVs have a very small signature, due to size, weight,
proximity to the surface and heat generation.
But setting them as untargettable is a plain and bland choice.
Please reconsider this change, maybe reduce the range at which an SRV will be locked on,
like silent running works currently.

Otherwise:
Gunship role? Not viable...
 
SRV now has 50% more fuel
No more re-spawning at the last station on SRV death

These make me happy :)

All we need now is not to loose all discovery data on SRV death and we're laughing

Edit : just seen todays Dev Update with the mention of not loosing exploration data on SRV death. I'm now very happy :) :) :) :)
