That's AMD's issue by all accounts, and ED is not a popular enough game for them to fix it anytime soon. If it were Black Ops 3 or something like that then they would get right on it.

Give them 6 months and they might eventually get it fixed.


Elite sold near 1 mil copy and it's a top seller game. If it's AMD or FDEV problem it's not my personal matter. I've invested in this game near 150 (premium backer here and some skins) euros and I , like all other users, deserve to play this game as it should be with my top end pc.

And , from what I see there, i won't going to receive any official response on this matter even this time.

POI blue circle now goes away at 1.51 km up

found the POI itself already so working much better i would say so far.

Once spotted i can see it above 2.8km up.

Because its NOT FD's issue. They can kick and scream all they want to AMD, but in the end if its AMD's issue, then its AMD's issue. Go on to the AMD forums and complain about it there.

Don;t forget FD are an independent as well, if ED was being published through a big name it would be fixed by now. I am sure FD have done everything they can to get the problem fixed, the ball is squarely in AMD's court with this one.
 
Or they will end up like Unidentified Source Signals. It is full year and that mechanic is still extremely broken and frustrating. It is simply not fun hovering in space in supercruise, hoping USS will spawn and it will actually be correct one. Having to kill 3 pirates and it taking chore of going through 10+ USS is no FUN at all.

Agree with you there mate. Some sort of scanning device needs to be introduced. The randomness of it, especially in the context of missions, doesn't have any logic to it at all.

No news regarding the AMD issues in supercruise? I'm sure you, as FDEV, are in touch with the guys at AMD driver section..

Tomorrow is the release date of Horizons and a lot of players are still there with this catastrophic issue (myself included) that's perduring from about 5 months from now.

I imagine it's even more of a <pain> when it doesn't affect all AMD users :( I always use AMD and I have not had the issue, maybe you could try pestering AMD as well ;) you never know, if enough people get on their case...

Is there still no fix for the game breaking bug when you end up back in your ship from an SRV and your thrusters are disabled and you cannot re-enable them so you cannot fly anywhere?

I had to self destruct my anaconda last night just to carry on playing. I don't want to have to do that when it's out of beta and lose my hard earned cash!

I think the mission itself can stay pretty intact as long as they add a "find mechanism" into the game for these.

I think the same needs to be done in space for the signal sources. A find mechanism or scan mechanic would make these far more interesting and logical.
 
the fault is in both sides . i've already reported, with a lot of other users ,this issue to AMD side too. AMD is in fault, but the game is from FDEV. I can understand make a fix can take time, but 5 months is so ridicolous that really, there aren't any excuses from both sides.

they accused each other for months instead on working together..

this is the only one game that's unplayabe. With the rest of my games all is working great with freesync etc.

I can understand you guys haven't this problems but remeber: this time is not your turn, but maybe in a future update you will encounter another issues that will brake the game FOR YOU and , while it takes months to get resolved, YOU cant play the game you invested so much.

Then you will undertand the frustration that a lot of players are feeling with this game.

Did you see the thread where someone found an Orbis space station crashed into a star port? Maybe it was one of those anomalies ;)

The whole fadeout idea is BAD.
At least, because nobody in their right mind would create a scanner, that forgets things it just saw in such unbelievably ridiculous way.

But I know that "common sense" or "realism" means nothing to you, so just in case you will say that this is "fun gameplay" - NO IT IS NOT.

Driving around in the SRV, glancing at the "wave scanner" while closing to the target - this does feel like fun, yes.
Not being able to do the same in the ship - not fun.
Forcing us to use SRV - not fun.

If you keep things this way, I personally am just going to ignore the whole "planetary USS POI minigame" completely.
Just flying at low altitude above the landscape is more fun to me.

Yes, that is a given and I've mentioned that in several threads already. This should apply for everything you are suppose to find.

The "missing pilots" just stands out much more since it's a individual person you are suppose to rescue.

So its even worse than USS now crawl along at 1.5km or below to find the POI circle or below or pray your eyes can see the POI above that. At this point why not just tell us to find it in the SRV.

I don't believe for one second we're saying we don't understand your frustration or sympathise with it. As a fellow AMD user that doesn't have the problem, what change did FD make that has caused this issue 5 months ago? Or was it something that AMD changed in one of their updates?
