Maybe you could at least make the 1.5 beta available to us folks who bought Horizons beta access, today? You know... just to keep us from gnawing our keyboards and joysticks away out of impatience, leaving us unable to test the Horizons beta, when it comes out. ;)

I'm new to the Elite-D community, but have 250+hrs on Elite Dangerous since October and I bought the Horizons update with the beta access a couple of weeks ago and have been waiting until midnight tonight to get on and download the beta of Horizons (ONLY to NOW find out it's delayed).

A little bit more warning would have been appreciated (perhaps on the launcher!!). I'm not TOO mad at you for delaying it (if it's totally not working). However, I've cleared my whole diary from tonight till Thursday night, so I could have a non-stop session on Horizons (NOW I CAN'T....Grrr!!!).

We (the community) appreciate that it's not going to be perfect (it's a BETA, not a finished product). So, unless there's a major issue/fault with horizons, why not just release it on the date stated (tonight) and you could do updates over the next few days to sort out the issues that are causing you to delay the WHOLE release. I'm sure this approach would gain you far more respect from the community (even with any initial issues/blips that may happen), as opposed to delaying the whole beta. Besides.... it's a BETA anyway, so we expect initial issues with it, that's also why we're also doing the beta, to help you test it before it's full release....

Don't worry though, even with this delay, I'm still completely delighted with Elite D. That's also why I decided to pay for the beta, to try and give something extra back to you (the Developer). I'm just really miffed because I've cleared everything on my diary, to give me two completely uninterrupted days with Horizons. Now I'm only going to get little shots of it here and there between my wife and kids and the weekend (which is our family time with the kids).

Anyway, I'm really not trying to moan. But, I just felt that you needed to know, it's not just as simple as a few days delay for everyone (with 1 days notice), there are knock on consequences for people and I'll bet I'm not the only one, I'm sure there's a lot of people who've adjusted their diary's to give this beta the time it deserves.

I can see that as being a slight issue...LOL

At least it's only a few days (allbeit, probably a week or more before I can organize a decent run of it). But I'm still not happy, especially after paying extra to play it on the 24th.

One extra point, no-one has stated how long the beta is to last. And, I'll tell you this, if it turns out to only be until the weekend or something stupid like that, then I'd go from being miffed, to VERY VERY MIFFED OFF!!!

So let me think like you: I've pai for Elite: Dangerous August 2014 for beta acces, now i've to paid for horizon beta access? What the :):):):)! I've paid again for horizon beta, it grantz me for all beta access for saison 2! It's not only beta access for horizon before release but for all beta access till next extansion that's all. Nevermind if they're few day's late...

Sorry for my English, a french CMDR!

what amazes me is that FD doesn't sent out something more official than (nah) we cant make it tomorrow.
I know allot of people will come rushing home again just to be disappointed.

okay they should have learned by now but so should FD.
