How do I ... Build Paths in the Air?

I have downloaded a user-made rollercoaster and put it in a sandbox park I am creating. The entrance and exit to the ride are in a building that is up in the air. I cannot figure out how to get the darn path to meet up with the building's floor. I have used the Shift key AND the grid function, but I must be doing something wrong, because it isn't working. Can someone help?

By the way, this is my first time doing this with Planet Coaster. I am an old-school Rollercoaster Tycoon guy, but since RCTWorld has such terrible reviews, I decided to fork out the cash and pick up Planet Coaster instead. I just bought the game a couple days ago, and I am trying to get the feel for it. Please help.
Thank you in advance,

Troy

It is common with the prebuilt buildings to have the pathways end up underneath flooring. Peeps walk around with their feet under the floor. Some builders do not compensate for this pathway anomaly. It could be you have such a building. I would try putting the path up to the exit of the ride first. If the pathway from the exit is underneath the building's floor, then that would be the problem. to adjust that you need to select the building, advance edit the building and move the building down until it rests under the path.

-edit if the building wont move down because of collision detection, a little more difficult but, you can also edit the building... select just the floor pieces and move them down slightly. Or you can just ignore it and let the peeps walk around with their feet cut off at the ankles.

Okay. I'll try it, but holding left-click and Shift seem to work fine for that aspect. Also, I figured out what the problem was: The builder of the coaster didn't make an entrance or exit. So it's all good now.

One more thing: When I am in sandbox mode, how do I keep people from coming into the park? In the old RCT sandbox, you could click on the Entrance and activate the Red Light. There doesn't appear to be this option here.

Park management > Attractions tab

closing your park will cause your staff to quit, you can also limit the number of guests you allow in your park. I forget where, I think its under ticket prices
