How do you deal with combat logging?

Yeah, I mean I know everyone has a different experience, but I literally made 30 mil in my first 10 minutes of play last night. Logged in, was docked out at WuHIP, immediately able to stack 6 VIP passenger transport missions in my Python to systems less than 100ly away. Easy money. I suppose results may vary, but if one has enough rep in a system like that, money is so easy to make it's like they are giving it away.

i will add why; for a time last few months my isp decided to spend months 'improving' its network - which meant my internet would randomly just die (probably so they could connect cables). i lost couint of the times i jumped someplace only to get transaction server error or some such, exit game and see no internet. now if tnhat happened while i was in combat in open with a player... and then report and put on that site, how is it just to blame ME for my internet being killed by my isp so they can increase speed for their business customers on the industrial site down the road from where i live? those outages had NOTHING to do with me. and incidentally my neighbour subsequently had a fault due to a damaged cable but if she played then she would also make it on the list.

never assume combat logging is just that. some is because the internet contrary to most peoples belief, isnt everywhere 100% reliable in all developed countries. sometimes i think africa has better internet reliability.

If your connection is spotty why are you playing in open. I certainly don't. If the hamsters aren't spinning the wheel fast enough for some reason I take my happy self to solo.

You garner even less sympathy from me than those that did not know about their ISP or equipment acting up. You actively and knowingly play in an environment where your connection is crucial when you know your connection is unstable.

LOL KOS lists do not encourage griefing. Hell I put people on mine for things like pad blocking or writing stupid posts on the forum (I love those license thingies). If you annoy me you deserve the rebuy.

That's a hugely poor excuse. If people can't afford the rebuy, don't buy the ship. It's still incredibly easy to make credits. Just flying in Haz Res sites bounty hunting can earn around 5mil per hour without a great deal of effort.

I absolutely agree if you can't afford the rebuy, don't fly the ship. However nerfing credit generation would just result in a situation where everybody flies the FDL for pvp. (oh wait)

I also agree that it's easy to make credits. My argument is if you nerf that, it encourages combat logging. It certainly wont make it happen less.

At 5m per hour in a Haz you're looking at 6-10 hours grinding for a single Corvette rebuy. Whether you like it or not, even at that rate of credits people will combat log.
