I can't figure out how to confirm discoveries on scavengers, uplinks, pods, devices etc. Composition scanner works fine on interceptors, but on surface objects or thargoid scouts it won't do nothing, just says "Nothing found".
Look for a Thargoid uplink in the area. You can scan it even when it is inside the structure. In the past, that put the structure scan on the contacts.
