I want to play the new Zelda so bad, I just don't want to buy a new system to play it....so tempting though. That game is just so beautiful.
Aye could've dropped 300 notes on a switch but yeah nah, maybe later. Bought the wii u version instead

When I'm taking a break from Elite, it means free evenings.
Free evenings mean lots of alcohol and watching my SO playing Elite.
Being drunk and watching my SO playing Elite makes me want to play Elite.
Playing Elite drunk costs lots of money.
Losing lots of money means I have lots to do in the game once again.
Lol..
I think it was the Division indeed..
You have been diagnosed with: want-the-new-2.3-update-'ittis.
...I went back to my roots as a small ship bounty hunter and rediscovered why I fell in love with this game in the first place.
Minning. Not to derail the topic but I've reshuffled The Division into my playlist after dumping it hard last year. Some good changes to endgame there.
I have the itis something fierce.
And I did something similar about it. I switched up roles for a ton of my small ships to break the rut. I got ever so slightly involved in Power Play again, mostly for new weapons, but also because I hadn't done it in a long time. I bought an ASP Explorer again, and made a pretty effective, high damage hull tank out of it with thermal augmented reactive armor, full HRPs, overload Packhounds, super-P rails and thermal vent beam lasers. I pulled my Clipper, a ship I once loved but haven't had a use for in ages, out of mothballs and fitted it out as a deep space transport and explorer, and we're on our way to Colonia for the first time.
I think the trick is not to ask "what am I good at doing right now", but "what does the galaxy offer that I don't do enough?". There's a lot out there.

I have a space tourist build on my Clipper and I love it, it's my only true passenger ship since I don't own the Orca or the Beluga yet.
That AspX build sounds interesting, might have to trying something similar some time. I really need thermal vent beam lasers on my Cobra MK III. It's a powerful little ship but it can overheat fast if you're not mindful about how much you are using your beams.

I've just had two weeks off from XBOX completely so I have returned full of fire...
That said, limiting your game time helps - especially switching it off at a set time whether you have achieved a daily goal or not. It makes you yearn for the game more if you have unfinished business.
Little and often is my way ahead.. oh, and making our little player group the biggest and best exploration group on Xbox, then every platform...... DRX for the win.
I wish I could help you but I am in the same boat. I had been playing since the very first beta years ago but lost interest about 6 weeks ago. Finding it very difficult to get back into it.
Engineers kind of ruined it for me. There was too much reliance on having to track things using external Data which does not work for me in VR.
I just really hated the way that applying Engineers mods simply does not give me the factual information I require. I dont get it when I am in Outfitting and Trying to work out which weapon to fit, I get the metrics on the weapon, heat Damage, DPS, etc and can see the fact it has on my jump range, etc., I can toggle between them to see the crucial data. With engineers mods It should do the same thing so I can see in real terms what the effect is, not have to friggen spend hours out of the game trying to find out what affect it will have.
Secondly I hate the fact that when I am out and about I cant simply call up the engineers panels to see whats needed for things I need, and what to keep when things are full.
All this relying on information outside a game kinda urks me.
And of caourse without engineering you are not competitive. So things all simply go to laborious for me and I quit.
I love how double-edged your post is! 'Wah, VR means that it's a pain looking stuff up' LOL - you have frickin' VR, CMDR. I'm an Xbone peon. So, no BR for me, BUT using EDDB, INARA et al, is just a glance to my left to my laptop!
Still, I do share your general lamentations about the RNGineers. I'm not sure there's anyone who's utterly satisfied with their implementation.![]()
