Wanted to answer the above question so thought i'd share my latest experiment with you, the 'Maga Tower Coaster'!
The entrance hides from view an enormous spiral ramp that the peeps will have to climb,
Here we are at the top, I wanted to see how high a coaster could go, as well as how high the paths could be built and if the peeps would actually use them, seems they do!

Thought i'd share as I discovered something interesting, the autogenerated coaster supports that usually appear when you raise a station up did not in this case, presumably because it's over a building or maybe the spiral path inside it. This allows for a very clean look outside and allows you to build your own 'supports' that will look better.
