-Most unsafe way of conducting traffic through a spacestation that i can think of. ...
Your post made some excellent points, but this one stands out for me as being particularly spot on; I mean seriously,
in a far future world, 1300 years hence, with the technology, engineering skill & physics knowledge available to build
huge orbiting space stations, many positioned a long way from central habited worlds, and yet nobody designing the
enclosed stations thought to have separate entrance & exit ports? Having separate entrance/exits (either entirely
or controlled via lanes/pathways) is standard in vast areas of existing daily real life: train stations, bus depots,
supermarkets, DIY centres, car parks, petrol (gas) stations, and every drive-thru burger joint imagineable.

But
apparently in the year 3300 they've forgotten about this rather obvious way of avoiding preventable accidents. Sooo
glad I came across someone's suggestion last week to always keep one's Landing Gear active when inside or near a
station, thus preventing accidental boosts.
3. The ability to communicate with AI on a very basic response level of course, i.e. a positive
response elicits a positive reply and vice versa for a negative response which may initiate a negative outcome such as
turning from friendly to enemy.
..
5. Being able to hire AI wingman to fly missions with you and therefore also able to assign said wingmen to certain
whilst you are engaged with your main target. This would be especially helpful in Combat Zones.
See the 'PS' at the end of my post
here, the part beginning with '(#)'; ignore the main body of the post,
not relevant (just a suggestion for improving the insurance mechanism). The '#' PS are some thoughts I had
about NPCs and where I hope FD could take the game in the future. Comments welcome!
I've said it before, and again prior to that, as well as multiple times previously, but i'd fire up ED more often if only it was pausable. I only play solo, don't care for MP, and only trade, hence the grind is, quite literally, unstoppable. ...
Depressingly I've found this to be a problem since I first started playing. Work & daily life mean I often I can't find
a large enough empty block of time to dedicate to playing without interuption (I too am only using Solo mode atm).
It would make a huge difference to how I can decide when to play and for how long if I was able to pause. Fully
understand why pausing makes no sense in Open Play mode, but really it ought to be possible in Solo mode.
... but I actually really loved the way the ship went entirely dark during the process. I so want a button to do that for myself, the view with all the lights out in the cockpit was spectacular.
That sounds like a really good idea! Should be easy to implement too. Come to think of it, why doesn't the Silent
Running mode turn off most of the lights, or at least dim them significantly?
