Well said.
The fact, that no dev ever came to this thread, commenting or explaining something, is not understandable for me.
Only, if they have no idea to sort things out ...
We're going to make lots of money selling it to mugs who think they are getting a good game. Then we'll port it over to consoles and get some more mugs.FD doesn't have to come into a thread to give us answers. Because they have already given us the answers, WE GONE A MAKE THE GAME WE WHANT!!!!!
I'm finished now.
Spent weeks grinding to get a better trading ship for a better income and found that my trading route that used to net me 250K - 300K with 100 Tonnes, now only nets 88K with 200 Tonnes. With no trading tools and abysmally small jump ranges on these lumbering trading ships, moving around to find better trade routes isn't exactly fun, nor is it practical. I have effectively found that my weeks of work to upgrade my ship in between work was for nothing and now I'm earning less than I was before I upgraded.
I might stick my head in the door and find out what changes have been made but frankly, things like this tend to make me lose interest almost permanently. I just can't summon up the enthusiasm I had before.

you just can use your one toy (ship) but the sand could not be formed with it really...
I have not played not played for two months. Stopped after collecting about 16mil in assets. The grind between Asp to Python is too long. Felt like I was wasting my time and moved on to better games.
I am only interested in single player. This game is balanced for MMO players who play the one game for thousands of hours. Not something that interests me.
More than true. I just begin to suspect that the goal of FD isn't to resurrect/revive the old legendary Elite game and to please the old patient fans, as me (despite what some FD/David Braben's videos implied), but the goal was just to make a big profitable deal (I am very naive sometimesThat's called marketing. It may be true on some level, but Frontier are a company. They need sales to pay the wages, rent the office space and keep the servers running,
It doesn't do them any favours if everyone just tells them what they want to hear. A bit more communication back from them wouldn't hurt either.
The state of the game at XBone launch or announcement of first paid expansion will be a better indication of where this game is headed.
Sounds like you are slightly more enthusiastic than myself.I read the forums most days, and I look down at my HOTAS but rarely pick it up to play anymore. I was wondering who else is feeling a little let down and sad by what we have so far? I still have high hopes for the game and think that they will make it much better this year.
To all you that are feeling like I do, stay hopeful. There is still time but the clock is ticking
That happens to Trade routes that are being hit by many Players and i.e. not including a Permit System (you should check those once, some of them are nice Trade hubs with their natural limits of possible Traders).
Although I know it can be painful after getting used to a profitable, fixed Trade run to grind on (and possibly even optimize your Ship specifically for it).
But taking a small Ship to explore other Trade routes in your area doesn't take too long...
You'll find that good trade routes exist with Jump distances as low as 3LY, with the typical >13LY jumprange of many Trade ships, you'll find plenty of alternatives.
Plus, you'll encounter "Freeman" type Factions that have some government Allegiance - but at the same time ignore all their laws... Interesting commodities you'll find in their Commodity Markets despite being an official Government System![]()
