How Many Park Areas?

This is somewhat related to an earlier thread I started sometime back what comprises a "reasonable" number of shops in a full park. First, I want to first those who took time to respond with your excellent ideas. Special shout out to Bullethead for discussing what in their opinion a park area consists of and which shops are particularly advantageous in Planet Coaster. I normally work in sandbox mode so I have more freedom to use shops and other techniques that may or may not match up the peculiarities of the game, but I did find the suggestions quite interesting. Fyi, to paraphrase Bulllethead the suggested park area consists of 1-2 coasters/track rides, 1-4 flat rides, some shops (food, drink, goods) and an atm machine.

My question, realizing it may differ quite a bit depending, among other things, the size of rides in the park area about how many park areas do you create when you fill the whole park? Also, what's your fav theme(s) for your park areas?

Thanks a lot for taking the time to read my post, please feel free to move this to more appropriate section of the forums if need be, and I hope everyone has a great day!

My suggestion is three or four areas. I tried building a true megapark with a dozen coasters, four track rides, a water ride, four transit lines and, if I recall correctly, nine family/thrill rides. When I did not restrict the number of guests, the game ground to a halt at about 14,000 guests. More guests were coming in, but I stopped it there.

When I restricted the park to 3,000 guests, the game functioned, although with an unsatisfactory frame rate, but the park felt nearly empty. This experience suggests that restricting the park to 3 or 4 areas will provide balance between a park that looks well populated with guests, and runs well on a decent (but not necessarily top end) gaming computer.

What he says above is true, but really it also depends on what you have in each area. You can have 10 areas, with minimal pieces, and it still may work ok. Basically, a loaded part drags down no matter what the size.
