how much vram in 4xssaa?

hey, i'm looking for a new gpu and was wondering if i should go for 2gb or 4gb of vram.

i would really appreciate if someone could check and tell me how much vram elite uses in 4xssaa on high-ultra details.

thanks in advance.

I'm not in front of my PC now, but I have recently changed to similar settings on my 780ti, although not running the 4xssaa, but chose to use the DSR (That dynamic resolution feature to bump it up to about ~2300x1400 then downscaling it to 1920x1080 for my screen. Found the performance to be better and looks very sharp.

In regards to your question though, my card has 3gb and from memory ED was more around the 1.5-2gb range. I would probably still choose the 4gb to cover you into the future more and for any other games you throw at it.

No question 4gb. In the past with small screens and small resolution you could by with 2gb, but with 1440 becoming the norm and 4k around the corner, people are starting to look at 8gb.

I have a Radeon 7990 - so effectively 3gb, and when I crank it up to 1.5x ssaa it starts complaining at 1920x1200, so 4 gb, definitely

Get the best card you can afford for future proofing purposes. If you don't need the extra now you certainly will in the future and it'll mean you'll be able to go longer before your next upgrade.

Currently, most games that at 1440p at max settings tends to barely reach 3.5GB. However, future proofing the card is a good idea, in case, you are going for 4k or the demand in future games increases over time. If you are planning to game at 1080p and never going to change, 3-4GB is your best bet.
