How often do you come across real players?

I fairly regularly see other commanders, which was a nice surprise. Only one of two at a time, but it's still better than none. :)

Well, I'm playing all over the day and night and see a lot of ppl:
- At engineers
- At CG's
- At Alliance stations that have cheaper prices
- At stations with rare commodities
- Far from the bubble in places of interest like in Maia

Oftentimes they are hard to spot on the radar when a system is busy, so it's best to check the "2" panel, there is a list of players you have seen and the top most are "NOW". If there is a "NOW" player he is somewhere around you in the instance, probably in scanner range. I oftentimes check the panel after some flying around and am amazed how many players were out there without me noticing because of the bad sensor display.

Doesn't bother me, I don't see this game as a player interactive game at all - its definitely a PVE game at heart.

Not a single one *laughs in solo*

Ironically I tend to play in Open / Mobius when I'm more likely not to encounter people. CGs are meant to bring people together in the same space, but the overcrowding gets old pretty quick. If I'm actually trying to get something done at a CG, I tend to do it in Solo these days.

O wow, really? I've been trying to find a use for that weird new scanner that comes with all ships. I've no idea what it is or does.

You can access data links at space installations, generation ships, ground bases and such things. You usually get audio- or text-logs from these links.

How in the world are you able to type in chat in a timely manner? I've tried it on the PS4 to see if anyone is out there and it takes some time compared to a keyboard.

I think I've seen players in Eravate before.

Hook up a keyboard into one of the ps4 usb slots. Which is easy enough for me as the ps4 is on a desk and the telly is next to it on a dresser.

i got a sharkoon skiller something keyboard where i can set macros

got some greetings and byes, some wing chatt and more on it
so start a chat is easy and fast

Wait, what, there are other player's involved in this game. I reckon there all in open somewhere because, I've left solo 3 weeks ago after being there since launch, when I joined Mobius. In the last three weeks 6 to 8 hours a day, I've still not seen any real life humans. Though I do tend to stay on the other edges of the bubble. Reckon someday, I'll return to Evarate, my birth place, which I left during the first hour after launch, and see if it's still there.

I've a bluetooth keyboard. It makes my life a lot easier at times like that, as well as when I'm in the galaxy map entering system names

Someday I'll get around to friending you on PSN and then I can look you up on the galaxy map and pay you a proper visit. I'm still over 6,000 LY out, but I'm making my way back home, so fire up the BBQ and bring forth the dancing women for my return!

It's the Logitech K380. It was easy to set up and works nicely.

Thanks. Look nice. And at 363 SEK, it's a good price. Have to try and find one with a Swedish keyboard. Think I will treat myself on payday. :)

Which model keyboard do you use?

I use the Rii i8, it's small and pretty inexpensive.

Tip: The antenna you plug into the USB is stored in the battery port, I almost returned the keyboard before I figured that out. :p

The company makes a whole range of mini keyboards too.

I've got the k480, and loving it. It has a selection dial so you can pair it with three different devices. It's the only key board I use any more. Switch "1" is for my pc, switch "2" is for my tablet and swith "3" is for my ps4.

I just use the Android PS app and type from my phone. It's not a full keyboard, but it's better than the controller.

As to how often I see people, pretty regularly really. But then I have been doing the community goals, that seems to be where everyone hangs out. Never been griefed there, but met some nice folk. To be honest most people just ignore you.

Now I'm off trying to find ancient artifacts, so I'm not expecting to see anyone for a while...

Yeh the CGs are always busy. Sometimes too busy when you are trying to BH. :)

Joined my first Community Goal last evening and wow, I think most of the PS4 players are there. Hollow Squares and Triangles all over the place. Everyone is too busy attaining their goals to bother with other players. Nice.

Could anyone tell me if the real players' symbol on the radar is still rendered hollow? Because I got to Kamadhenu (the actual 'Comm Goal' hub) and found very few CMDRs. None of them had the hollow square/triangle symbol on the radar.
