General / Off-Topic How time flies

Before Napster, I used my Walkman to record songs off of the radio.

You would not believe the rage induced when a DJ would play a song without announcing the Artist and Title first.

Apart from the 'ticker-tape' telegraph thing, I have used all of them and to be honest, most are from the 80s; early 80s maybe, but that is about the time frame. The walkmans were the saddest thing, I think, because they were the 'must have' items. Sony made something that really worked, as most other personal tape players, either constantly messed up your tapes, or the battery life was minimal. Then they brought out the Diskmans and they really worked well, no jumping, if you moved the thing too much. Good solid products, expensive yes, but did the job; however: Along came the i-pods and all the diskmans and walkmans, went in to the bin.

Or talking before the track had finished....

Or talking before the track had finished....
I remember the hairy cornflake reading a letter from an irate listener complaining about him talking before the track had finished and ruining their attempts to record the record. So he told them to get ready to record and then proceeded to sing throughout the whole track.
