Newcomer / Intro How to change my name in game？

Hmm. I may ask to get mine changed to my boards handle...
^^^^^^ WOT @Dommarraa said - I did it once, they were very good as I had a good reason (people couldn't pronounce the initial name).
Be aware that any name you set in game (or that support change you to) sticks with that account for eternity. So for example Commander Badou name (if that was the one used) would not be possible to be used on a second (or subsequent) account - this annoyed me when on another occasion I wanted to swap names to my LEP account, support were adamant that it could never be done. (This also holds true on Clear Save options - which is your alternative method of changing commander name.)

What happens to planets you have discovered? Does the name change carry over there too?

Yes, but it doesnt have to be a GOOD reason.And explaining why you want to change.
I changed my Alt Account to have "Dr" at the beginning. So so vital for my feelings.
People can't pronounce "Malc"? I suppose that's a reason to leave the planet rather than to change the name.
Ah well it wasn't that account (still has the original name) rather it was one using my old D&D nom de guerre - a whole different story!
