Wait for it
It's gratifying to be rewarded for effort, but the credits should not be the motivating factor. If you are exploring for the money, you will soon get tired of it.
This brings a question to my mind:...
And of course if we die we lose everything, the money, the discovery tags, the mapping tags, everything, isn't life fun.
noThis brings a question to my mind:
I know if you die you lose all of your collected data, but what about your Codex entries? Is that affected as well?
no
Edit: Though I think you lose any payouts you haven't claimed
Lol howNo, the rewards for codex entries are stored separate from exploration data and remain even if you are destroyed...ask me how I know
Don't tell me... it happened?Lol how
A whopping 22mil
No, exploration is free money, no effort required, just a 5 second button press...LOL. I got nearly that just jumping around the bubble and casually honking everything + mapping a few planets I wanted to surface mine.
Exploration is.... worthless.
No, you cannot rename anything else than your ships.I have discovered a bunch of stuff but I have no idea how to rename them if that's even possible.
I just got back from a quick trip out to the Bubble Nebula. On the way I was just travelling, and every system already had first-discovered tags. But making a little effort and honking every system, plus scanning all of the usual high-value targets revealed that very few had been mapped. So I mapped them.
On the return leg, I flew a couple of hundred LY off the beaten track and nearly every system on the way home was undiscovered.
maybe they are too "Khan" and forget about the 3rd dimension
That's unfortunate because I had compiled a list of really cool names. No, you cannot rename anything else than your ships.
in what would otherwise be 'dead time'... yep, worthless...
